ok im a noob with external display with macbook..

i have HP 2009f .. i connect it with VGA to hdmi converter to macbook. but the quality kinda blur blur, not sharp.

is it because of the monitor quality itself or i need to use hdmi cable direct to mb without converter? because i do see hdmi port behind the monitor.

@elfreakz
most LCD have only one 'native' resolution, and if you use any other resolution... the image will be blur.

the native resolution is a 1:1 ... any others involve combining ... that's why its blur.

your HP 2009f resolution (according to google) is 1600 * 900 ... so go to System Preferences > Display > VGA display and select 1600 * 900 ...

thanks xaw5126 for the explanation. and yes, you got it right, i use 1600*900 it is clearer now if 2 separated display.

just that it is still blur if i use "mirror display" setting.

p/s so there's nothing to do with vga to hdmi converter or hdmi cable right...?
