QUOTE(ujoewong @ Nov 25 2010, 12:28 PM) 4GB RAM and as long the HDD is of 2.5". Well I first bought it upgrade cost me a total price of RM 7k(2.4GHz spec macbook upgrade 4GB ram and acpp and microsoft office student home and accessories)..Very hardcore price by that time. But now I'm considering of upgrading this hdd to 750GB.But turns out someone said it's not possible since it's 11.6mm.As standard hdd is 9.xx mm something(standard fits on macbook).Any capacity is possible. I would highly recommend Intel SSD's. It is blazingly fast. It made my 2.4Ghz Unibody 2008 much faster than the 13" MacBook Pro of today. Cheers. |

QUOTE(nazlizainuddin @ Nov 27 2010, 06:23 PM) hi guys, i need your opinion on this If I were you, I'd stick to Macbook. But if you want the Light Macbook Air,I suggest go for 13 inch air with higher spec. That if you're willing to spend RM 6k tops for it.If I had that 6k,I'd prefer to get 13inch MBP with max out specs. i am planning to buy macbook, my choice now either macbook pro 13" and macbook air 11" but i prefer MBA 11" because its small and very thin, easy for travelling i'm using my laptop for works and web browsing, not much of multimedia, but i need cd tray sometimes which is not present in MBA 1. do apple have external cd tray which is also thin, easy for travelling? 2. which one of the two last longer, provided that i dont have desktop and use my laptop mostly for my work and web browsing 3. i like to use cooling fan which we put at the side of laptop (esp for travelling), not the usual one which we put at bottom (too huge to carry for travelling). does MBA have that type of cooling fan? i'm afraid the side-cooling fan that i normally use for pc does not fit MBA thanks for advice.. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Nov 27 2010, 08:07 PM) When we need to make a choice, just look at your NEEDS not your WANTS. You need to gather all the pros n cons of the products and then decide based on your NEEDS. No one can tell you which is better . true.I thought of getting an alienware or 15 inch MBP by the end of this month. But I realised I spent almost 9k on my macbook since 2008.And it still performs really good compared to the MBP 13 inch nowadays. Now I really love my macbook since it fulfill my needs(editing and multimedia).Best of all,you can even go bootcamp with it.(now this is what I call freedom in choosing an OS)It would be great if there is product that can meet both needs and wants. Such a product is possible in our dreams only And nazlizainuddin, I think you should really go for the Macbook Air.Sorry for the misjudge on your preferences, but I thought you're looking for pure multimedia. |

benny-what wiraone said lol!
wiraone-well I tried other networks(McD,Starbucks and KFC).Even can't connect with my Maxis wireless broadband that I use for my iPad. akaneikegami-yeah, I think it's faulty. But I still got acpp to solve this problem. Btw,regarding about acpp, let say if I bought the MacBook early of 2008.and I add the acpp. How long does my MacBook valid for warranty service? And can I extend the warranty by getting another acpp? |

QUOTE(dvlzplayground @ Dec 16 2010, 11:31 PM) here's a simple answer whoa.MBP13 inch isn't the same as MB.has additional 2GB and better graphics. With battery indicator.macbook (the white colour one): plastic body easy to get dirty n scratches. no firewire (u probably dont need this anyway), no SD card reader, no battery charge indicator macbook pro 13: about the same spec as macbook white but aluminium body looks nice, easier to keep clean. got SD card reader, firewire, keyboard backlight macbook pro 15/17: apart from the obviously bigger screen, u get more powerful CPU and GPU unibody is just a term referring to the construction of the laptop's body. all macbooks including macbook pros are 'unibody' now. so which one should u buy? if on a budget i'd highly recommend the MBP 13. but the macbook isnt bad either p/s: my Macbook 2008 is the same performance as the new MBP 13 inch' |
