4GB RAM and as long the HDD is of 2.5".
Any capacity is possible.
I would highly recommend Intel SSD's.
It is blazingly fast.
It made my 2.4Ghz Unibody 2008 much faster than the 13" MacBook Pro of today.

hi guys, i need your opinion on this

i am planning to buy macbook, my choice now either macbook pro 13" and macbook air 11"

but i prefer MBA 11" because its small and very thin, easy for travelling

i'm using my laptop for works and web browsing, not much of multimedia, but i need cd tray sometimes which is not present in MBA

1. do apple have external cd tray which is also thin, easy for travelling?

2. which one of the two last longer, provided that i dont have desktop and use my laptop mostly for my work and web browsing .

3. i like to use cooling fan which we put at the side of laptop (esp for travelling), not the usual one which we put at bottom (too huge to carry for travelling). does MBA have that type of cooling fan? i'm afraid the side-cooling fan that i normally use for pc does not fit MBA

When we need to make a choice, just look at your NEEDS not your WANTS. You need to gather all the pros n cons of the products and then decide based on your NEEDS. No one can tell you which is better .
It would be great if there is product that can meet both needs and wants. Such a product is possible in our dreams only

Forget alienware, the screen is awful

i having problem connecting my MBA 11 to the wifi sometimes... i really don't understand....  my dell notebook no problem...

I asked Machines, they said they can do it. I was just wondering how long it took other people who did the same thing.

On the left... It will heat up everytime i watch HD movies.... But nothing to worry about.. The fan is situated there

guys with MBA 13"..  mba13" can easily watch 1080p movie on it right? no lagging right?(the GC able to support right? jus need double confirm.. hhehe because want to shift from pc to MAC

here's a simple answer

macbook (the white colour one): plastic body easy to get dirty n scratches. no firewire (u probably dont need this anyway), no SD card reader, no battery charge indicator

macbook pro 13: about the same spec as macbook white but aluminium body looks nice, easier to keep clean. got SD card reader, firewire, keyboard backlight

macbook pro 15/17: apart from the obviously bigger screen, u get more powerful CPU and GPU

unibody is just a term referring to the construction of the laptop's body. all macbooks including macbook pros are 'unibody' now.

so which one should u buy? if on a budget i'd highly recommend the MBP 13. but the macbook isnt bad either i just think the price difference is pretty much worth it
