the first 1-5% drop is normal. my battery is 1.75 years old and it's at 85% health, 323 cycles. i guess this is pretty low compared to others but it's good enough for me. still can last through a whole lecture. 1 hr lab with vmware + windows 7 running matlab also can tahan. i calibrate once every two weeks

juz use ur battery however it's convenient for you within ur warranty period. i think after 1 year still >90% is good enough dy

no need to change if it's working fine. lemme guess, u didnt use ur battery a lot?
it would help if you can say what "various option" u have tried. yes u can reformat using an external HDD but u need the ISO anyway. how come u dont have the OSX dvd?

I suggest you take out the battery and check if it's bulging. Lay it on flat surface and see if it sit still.
If it's bulging you should consider replacing it. The bulging battery will normally continue to bulge further. At a point it will damage/affect your trackpad assembly by pushing from the bottom up. So don't think "it work then no to change".

put your battery on a flat surface, then you can see if it is swollen or not.

Mine did swollen, got it changed for free although my Apple care had over.

advantage of bigger VRAM is mostly for textures only.

i kinda believe this 'theory'. GPU will go down one 'level' every 2.5 years. the 330M GT is considered a mid-level GPU, so in about 2.5 years it'll be a low-end GPU. still good enough to play the latest games but low settings lah

I google and they said it's normal for macbook battery to run out quickly if (syncing and charging) ipad at the same time.

It's been a week now that I'm having problem with my MacBook.
Boot time takes as long as 30 minutes
Restarting the computer over and over again but it doesn't seem to help things.
Just need some help from Sifu here before I go and send my MacBook for service.

Looks like it is pretty much a standard practice to quote maximum waiting time to push people to buy on the spot. I should have known better.

Anyway, I hope 2G is enough. I browser with like 10 window and 1 pages document and 1 pdf open already left me with barely 100Mb free RAM left. But with the fast hd, even with some disk swapping, it should be bearable. Without looking at the mem usage, everything is still snappy so far.

Send my MBA 13' to VR on 21/01 for screen replacement, check the status last few days they told me the part stuck at
subang and check again on yesterday and the staff told me part received but the staff left before 5pm so cant fix it and they
are holiday till friday.

So at the end i can only collect it next monday.
