QUOTE(benny888 @ Dec 5 2010, 09:57 PM) What I can say this is a very good Mac - I bought 2 units last year : one for myself and the other for my son. Whether worth is up to you as probably a new model is expected by Q1 2011. So is just a question whether you wish to wait. We can never catch up with technology and newer models will always be around and probably with even lower pricing. Thanks for the input Benny. Will be using it primarily for mobile photoshop work. Still cant afford a newer model. Just bought an Ipad. My old notebook decided to die yesterday morning. Friend offered me a good working unit at a very decent price. |

Guys, need some technical assistance here. Just got my MBP yesterday.
This is my second Mac pc. I got some issue. On both Safari and Google chrome, whenever I want to download, the download dialogue box (asking where to save) does not pop up. It would just hang there. There is no downloading at the background either. I have tried enabling and disabling all the pop up blockers on both safari and Chrome. Still the same. Is there a deeper control? Although I have a mini. I have to say I m not very good with MAC OS. Thanks for all the help. |

QUOTE(jcwc23 @ Dec 7 2010, 09:23 AM) Guys, I hv a question here. I went to digital mall yesterday and the seller told me no need upgrade to 4gb for MacBook air 13". Since its using new technology - SSD drive. So you can't compare core 2 duo in window and in Mac. Mac do not need that much ram to run like window. Is this true? Played with my fren's MBP which has a SSD drive. Start up is a lot faster!~ And yes. The Programs load faster. How long it takes if I want upgrade to 4gb? |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Dec 7 2010, 12:58 PM) Is it about saving downloads ? Bro Benny, Tried. Cant. In Safari Browser Just go to Preferences/General/Save download files -- select the folder where you wish to save. Same for Chrome Actually you will not see any pop up asking you where to save. BY default it will go to user/downloads Added on December 7, 2010, 1:01 pm You can use Skype for video chat with other users irrespective whether is Windows or MacOSX as long as they also have installed Skype. It is a freeware. In the end, I formated and reinstalled the OS. Problem solved. |
