[I posted this in the purchase guide too] Hey guys. I was thinking of getting the 13" 128GB Macbook Air with 4GB ram. I would like to know if it runs well with Photoshop? And what are the interest rates like if I purchase it from the online store using credit card?
Thanks!!

QUOTE(AlexLee277 @ Nov 26 2010, 09:44 PM) You can only upgrade the processor on the higher-end 13" model.

One last question, can I pay by installments if I buy from the online store? I know I can't but is there any other way? Maybe from Maybank or something?

I'm planning on visiting Machines tomorrow to get my 13" Macbook Air. If I want to add more ram and upgrade the processor, how long will it take till I receive the set?

QUOTE(SoulReaver @ Nov 30 2010, 02:24 AM) I think you can only purchase upgrades via Apple's Online Webstore.... It will take around 3 days to start shipping from Shanghai.. I asked Machines, they said they can do it. I was just wondering how long it took other people who did the same thing.

@The Sifu, you can custom order at Machines. The only downside of it is that it will take 2-3 weeks. I'm getting mine today. They also have installment plan for custom orders (Y)

Just purchased the Macbook Air 13" on the Apple Store. I got the mouse and super drive too. Hopefully the money was worth it. Add: BTW, I ordered already but I haven't received the confirmation email yet. Any idea why? And I selected to pre-install iWork. How do I go about re-installing it later?

QUOTE(OmniAtlas @ Dec 4 2010, 08:00 PM) Hey all, I'm planning to place an order for a Macbook air 11" within the next couple days. It will be upgraded to 1.6 ghz, 4 gb ram; I am not in Malaysia at the moment but I have heard the upgrade models are not in stock and will need to be custom built. Do you guys know how long from placing the order will it take to have the item delivered either via the Apple store, or directly from a retailer (such as Mac City, or Machines)? I will only be in KL for a few weeks, so I need to know how long it will take to ship. Thanks. I placed my order on the first of this month. They said that I'll received it in 8-10 days like OmniAtlas mentioned.
I had some payment issues, so I called Apple on the second day and confirmed everything. I've not yet received the two mouse and drive which I think I should be receiving by Monday/Tuesday and the Macbook Air itself by Thursday/Friday. Hey guys. Is it normal for the Macbook Air to heat up above the keyboard on the left? Is the hard drive/flash drive that's causing it?

I was using my MBA 13" with an external monitor. Then when I touch the laptop, I get some small shocks(tingle). If I remove the Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter, I don't get the shocks. Any idea why?

QUOTE(wiraone @ Dec 9 2010, 07:37 AM) Make sure your external monitor is properly 'grounded' (electrically) .. does it have three-pins plug? Do you have this external monitor plugged into a power strip/block? Try to plug the power cable straight to the wall socket, might be the power strip/block is broken (i.e. not grounded properly). Haha, okay. Will try in awhile and post an update later. Thanks!
