All wallpapers are the same , not meant to absorb heat . To absorb sound , YES.
You should get something to cover your window which is the source of the heat i.e. maybe putting blackout. I actually dont do curtain rail only, sorry. I only do when you engage for other service and help you to do for free. |

I would suggest that you use vertical blinds. The cost depends on how big is the area .

If you observe carefully at the picture (the one with the curtain, on the left side where there is a bracket) you posted , the bracket will prevent the curtain from fully pulled to the end . Anyway, it is perfectly ok .
