Well so far i don't have any issues with paint chipping or scratches for reposing my models after painting them. I always repose my painted gundams every month.

Just be careful when moving it, and of course, there's some skills to master how to paint those fragile joint parts and inner skeletons so when you move/twist the body parts, the paint won't come out

Paint a model kit is never easy at 1st, and it also depends on how a modeler defines "easy". You can paint the colour straight on the runner, then only cut the parts out, but there will be nib holes of course; You can cut them out 1st, group them together by body parts or runner numbers, then only paint; You can cut them out 1st, sand and modify with pla plates/pla beams/3rd party parts, then only paint... everything depends on you, whether how hard you want to make it.

I think painting a model kit is not easy, but it's fun to do, if you have all the correct tools and materials with you of course. I have invested quite some money for the tools, since i'm sure that modeling is one of my hobby that would last forever

Of course, it's not cheap though those materials and tools, but they would last you for very long if you know to how take care and maintain them.

They did try to help us hide the nib marks away lah. Look at those new MGs like red frame kai.
Those outer armors using same nib connector design like chrome parts for 1/100 Akatsuki jor.

And when there's more separation parts, easier to paint meh? I don't think so.

Indeed, if that 1 particular part has a few colours, nice lah if they design it with more part separation.

I only hate to paint those tiny parts, especially those mechanism parts usually hidden inside the frame one. I will skip from painting them if they are not visible after assemble.
