can i ask ur guys opinion..? my friend is a fan of Korean entertainment..she uses normal astro right now..but she's thinking of getting Byond just for the Korean channel..right now is preview channel right? she is scared that the channel will be moved into one of the chinese packages that she does not subscribe..any idea if this will happen? ONE HD in one of the chinese packages in the near future?

i know people will say AXN Beyond HD, and FX HD is also previe and still there but the amount of interest on those 2 channels cannot challenge the fans interest in ONE HD..maybe astro will take advantage of this and put in a package?

owh..1more thing..right now from normal astro wanna change to normal Byond with HD service is still free right with RM20 monthly? if get Byond PVR, pay RM300 for new decoder, RM10 for recording function, but need to pay RM20 for HD services or not?

i had the problem too..before this i wrapped my byond using cling film to protect the numbers from fading and also dirt..i thought I wrapped it too thick so that caused the problem..i unwrapped and then seemed fine again but now it has come back..its not the battery as i also changed it..

is it something new on Measat 3a? would really love it if it became available..news, variety and fun package to fill in the last 3 remaining HD slots for the year?

guys..need some help..my friend only has CRT TV at home butwant to get Byond because of the ONE HD channel..i tried using Byond with my CRT Tv at my grandparents home before..the HD channels picture became little..got black bars on top and bottom..does this happen to all HD channels on CRT TV? Anyway to fix it?

i agree so much with these statements..
there have been so many people on astro FB and sometimes even in LYN forum saying that TM's IPTV is wayyyy better than astro and some of them also doing campaign say 'stop subscribing to astro' 'get TM Unifi'..i just wanna punch these peoples teeth down their throats..they live in urban places that have TM UNifi available yet they are so dumbass saying we should get it..how the heck am i supposed to get it if its not even available here????

there's a simple rule for all new TV operators be it satellite or IPTV..u wanna live, u wanna get customers, u wanna stay long in the business, provide ur service all over Malaysia and not urban places only..u need to give the services to places in Kedah, Terengganu, Sabah, Sarawak, Melaka, Johor and many other places..not focus on Subang Jaya, TTDI, Hartamas and so on..u do that, by the time u wanna spread ur services nationwide, astro will have already overtaken u on so many things..MiTV should be a lesson to newer companies..

i wont compare extra RM50 with extra RM5..but i do agree there might be a drop in astro subscription especially if they continue with poor services..i think astro just needs one major move to make a lot of subscribers happy and maybe make more money from subscribers..that is by eliminating the rain-fade issue..im noob in this area but i believe a change of dish could do this? or maybe they could just improve the PQ..i believe this has also been pointed out by many here..change the video mode or sumtin..or the least astro could do is open up more new channels for both SD and HD..or atleast new programmes..

i doubt any of those will ever happen though

I know what u mean man but this is really3 an old argument..I have a thread that I regularly update almost everyday n i know what u mean that Barcelona's matches are not in HD because for the past few La Liga rounds, Barca's matches are not in HD.. the reason being is that Barca's matches has clashed with BPL matches..not once but i think more than twice now..seeing that Astro has invested huge amounts of money on BPL alone, its no surprise that they prioritise BPL in HD when there is a clash with La Liga..everything else is secondary..

The simple solution is for Astro to open up another Supersport HD channel..however, I have already suggested and vouched for Astro to introduce the Red button options that was available during the World Cup and the recent Commonwealth games to show games that are played simultaneously be it from BPL and La Liga..this way, astro would only need to open up temporary channels on matchdays and maybe show two repeats of the match then shut the channel down until the next matchday arrives..

I'm no sifu regarding this thing and I speak like it is so easy to do, however I know many people complain when temporary HD channels are opened up, something to do with bandwith will cause loss of PQ of other channels..still, in the UK, Sky Sports does this method to show as many football matches as possible at the same time with the Red button interactive action every week..so i guess it can be done..I really hope astro will introduce this for the sports channel especially for football so that as many matches as possible are shown..I have written to them several tomes for them to consider the option and their typical reply is that they would look into it..but my guess is they will do it sooner rather than later as they are incurring some loss because they are only showing a limited number of matches due to limited number of channels..this is not good for them as they are paying the rights to show all matches LIVE which they arent doing right now..

Back to the issue of Barcelona, I guess u should still be thankful that u can see ur team LIVE eventhough not in HD..there are supporters of other lesser teams or lesser leagues that dont get to see their team play every match LIVE..some have to go online and find a streamimg link which I can tell u is no where near as good as watching ur team LIVE on TV even in SD mode..so HD or not, Barcelona are still on TV..LIVE or DELAYED..

*BTW, if ur mad about Barcelona's Champions League matches not being shown LIVE, u should complain and rant to ESPN STAR SPORTS in Singapore..they are responsible for the Champions League matches selected..

aaaa..this one i dont blame astro.last season when ESPN HD was run by astro, immediately after they launch ESPN HD, they already put up the scoreboard for all matches..this season after astro handed over the channel to ESPN Singapore, they still seem to not know how to put the scoreboard and time graphic on the screen.. a bit dumb seeing the fact that they are a big company with a tagline "THE WORLDWIDE LEADER IN SPORTS"..i even have sent an email and posted on ESPN STAR FB to complain and request bout this issue to be solved..no reply and still no improvement..

This is the one thing I wish astro was handling coz they can do it instead of ESPN Singapore

like astro gonna care bout the ultimatum..they will just say "ok..AOD not in HD and people unsubscribe..lets put in Discovery HD..sure we would still make a big profit from new subscribers compared to losing some AOD subscribers.."

We need to understand..Astro does not listen to us..not that much anyways..and they know that they are the only pay Tv provider..forget TM Unifi, Tune TV and others..they are not in the same league as astro..and astro dont fear them based on the simpLe fact that they cant provide their services nationwide..even their current channel line up does not satisfy all the needs of what people want..

unless there is a major change in the current situation, astro will just sit on their backside earning money..n i dont balme them for doing so..

u missed it..it was this morning..the repeat was at 2pm, 5.30 pm and also last repeat tonite at 9.00 pm..

actually u must see the pirated vcd and dvd PQ..it is even worst than what u just saw..coz watever those pirates copy from astro, the PQ gets even worse..
