Few months on Byond and I noticed some "strange" interference behaviours:

1. If I put a wireless router on top of the Byond box, the signal is totally unstable at all and get frequent disconnection or cannot even detect the signal. But if I put about 2 feet away from the Byond box then the signal become more stable. I tested few others routers with same bad signal issues when near to the box. However, this interference doesn't affect the picture quality.

2. Recently, I complained bad Maxis signal inside my house and later Maxis seem to upgrade and improve. However after the upgrade, there are few times when I talk with about 6 feet away from the Byond box, the picture sometime will black-out intermittently.

3. I'm still facing raining interruption, sometime the it even went dead when the sky turn black only, this is really annoying especially when it rains frequently recently. It seem like Byond doesn't seem to be improved any better than the old decoder as they claimed. Luckily I still have the UniFi IPTV to save the day, it's truly enjoyable to watch BBC channels and LUXE HD!

Anyone has any suggestion/comment on how to improve the situation?

Here's an idea: you figure out how to launch a satellite TV service and make the figures work for Malaysia/SEA, and you too can get financial backers to fund you billions of ringgit to make it work.

How can those cable TVs down south can thrive and with good service with such a small market? Malaysian market is easily bigger than them

Excellent suggestion rclxms.gif The govt shld NOT be allowed to invest in asssto and all TM companies, now I bet with Assto promotoing UPSR UPSR will NOT be scrapped, my nephew was here from spore and when I told him abt out internet chaarges and speed he remarked " Its ridiculous !!" A new govt is needed to change the federal law to allow FTA dishes, and its in our hands no need to launch anymore satelites !! drool.gif

The ruling party is the main investment patner of assto so immunity and monopoly is guaranteed 100 % flex.gif

check satellite signal entry point 15/17/18, these transponders are used to transmit HD channels, you should get signal quality more than 200, if not either ask astro to re-align your dish(I think will cost your RM50) or align yourself

But it would help to have a pro-people government instead of a pro-big business one.

My reception has improved ever since I moved to byond. It is only when there is heavy rain then I can't receive it.

Medium rain is not a problem anymore unlike in the past.

I can view 720, 721, 726 everyday with NO problem.

I think your astro installer didn't align the dish properly so the signal is weak.

Try asking ANOTHER astro guy to do .
