capacity limited? measat 3A still have 6 extra ku transponders sitting pretty ready for astro to hire

each transponder is capable of transmitting 13 astro quality SD channel using DVB-S
*
That's what Astro said... Unless, they use DVB-S2 for SD channel...? hmm.gif

it is not transponder capacity problem, but more on the fact that there is no return on investment to astro by transmitting religious channels

each transponder onboard measat 3A will cost astro RM7m/year

for sure it will be benefited to astro if all SD channels are using DVB-S2 + Mpeg4 for transmision, saving 30% on overall capacity

but astro must hurry up and change all old DVB-S decoder to byond box

Wah.. sound as bad approach. Their should run both system (old and new) concurrently and be migrated in stages.
But the worst one is their use PHYSICAL FILES as their backup. sweat.gif

Hi All,

Just wanted to check. I connected my beyond decoder with HDMI output to TV and Red & White cable for audio to my speaker system. It was working till recently whereby, no sound is coming from my speaker and then I switched the audio setting to TV and the sound comes from the TV but from the speaker. I have tested the speaker with TV alone and it works but not from the decoder.

Any solutions for this?

Try restart your decoder and try again.
