And you based this on what?

Cost of a half hour program can be around RM40-50,000 per episode. An hour will cost around RM50-70,000. A TV movie about RM70-100,000. Multiply that for the number of hours per day.

Those numbers represent SD programming. HD programs costs more to produce.

Somehow, you know the exact amount of it. Or are you involve with producing? hmm.gif

I think ASSP 3 just broadcast on SD feed.  sad.gif
But how astro want to handle 2 simultanouesly live HD BPL game? ASSP HD broadcast La Liga and Serie A in the weekend.
So just ESPN HD are available for HD match hmm.gif

External channels are cheaper and popular in the short run. In the long run, internal channels generate more income because they can sell the ad slots and DVDs of the show.

bro, what I meant is they buy cheap bulk content say from their obedient content providers then compile a channel and give it a sexy name like zhi zun !! shakehead.gif

I beg to differ in house somehow is preferred here for commercial money making reasons , see like Aruna which is now sold to MioTv, they are not silly to operate almost a dozen In House channels right ? They save costs actually !

I think the astro update was to add Supersport3 to the listings..for old decoder, they need to put in standby mode..for Byond decoders, they will just add the channel even if the decoder is in use..also confirmed by astro FB
