Hi everyone,
I need some advice regarding my flight to Bali with AirAsia at the end of the month. I booked and confirmed flights for 2 persons under my name and my wife but due to current events, I'm not able to make the flight anymore. So my questions is ; 1. Is it possible to cancel the flight and get a refund for the flight? Although my card has already been charged. 2. If not possible, is it possible to change the dates/time/destination of the flight? Like instead of Bali, switch to Langkawi at the different date and time. 3. Is it possible to change the names of the people taking the flight? Like giving my parents the flight instead although the booking will still be under my account. So far I haven't tried anything but under "My Bookings". There is an option to change the details of the passenger including the names and passport and IC. It seems its also possible to change the dates and time of travel though I did not try to confirm it. But there was no option to change the destination. I just want to know if there is anything I can do to salvage the flight I've paid for. Hope someone can shed some light. Thanks. |

Answer : Under such circumstances, we will allow you to cancel your flight. We will place the value of the fare you paid in a credit account for your future travel which must be utilized within three (3) months from the date of issue. However, we will require a copy of your doctor's letter for documentation purposes. Please contact our Call Centre for assistance. 2. How can I make a flight change? Answer : Changes can be made via Manage My Booking, at all our Sales Office/Airport Sales Counter and through our call centre. 3. How do I make a name change for an existing booking? Answer : Name change is allowed up to six (6) hours prior to the scheduled flight departure time. To make the changes, you can either contact our Call Centre or go to any of our Sales Offices/Airport Sales Counters for assistance. We will require proof of identity of both the original and substitute guest to ensure authenticity of the request. Please note that name change is subject to a fee as provided for in the fee schedule and is only available for certain fare classes only. |

I think its because of the new "New Fee Schedule" where the prices of services is different according to route.
http://www.airasia.com/my/en/flightinfo/feeschedule.html However, I'm not yet comparing any route, just check on my regular route. p/s: Fabulous is not so fabulous after all. |

I tried to change the date to next year Oct but unable to because I think the flights not available yet. The date changes is possible up until August but required to pay RM360 additional for date change on top of the air fare. Unfortunately still can't fly in August, so I was thinking of changing twice, but can't imagine I would be paying RM720 for changes alone. |

Hello,
I got this unsettled feeling that my January 2011 to Kota Kinabalu (KK) ticket will be cancelled. Please share your experience, if any. When I did a airticket search for Brunei to KK on January 2011, there are no such ticket available for purchase. It was stated they were either full or no such flight on that particular day. Could that be possible for all flight in that month? Also, the latest promotion, which travel period is 2011, did not have that route listed. |
