QUOTE(Scopio @ Feb 10 2011, 09:26 AM)
so how u manage to settle it?? can go to their sales office?? they can check over there??
*
I didn't. Cause I realise it was a mistake to book that ticket. So I'm actually glad that I accidentally keyed in wrong CC details. tongue.gif
But on my "manage booking" page, they gave me the choice to make payment again. I assume if you make payment again then will settle edi lor.

Best is you just call them. Your problem has been going on for some time already. Have you speak to one of their customer service yet? We here can't really help you solve it. Either call them or email or leave a wall post on their facebook page.

QUOTE(redtuna @ Feb 10 2011, 10:38 AM)
If me, i just rebook the same ticket.my basis is if the 1st one get through after that, sure kena reject coz they cannot have 2 same person in the same airplane. every person allocated for one seat only. or am i wrong? rolleyes.gif
*
You wont be able to book the same ticket again. Because it's reserve to the previous "pending" one. That's the whole point of the Pending and why they give you a certain amount of time to settle the bill. If it's like a promo ticket, usually only have few promo tickets per flight. If the last one already pending, then you won't be able to get promo if the pending one haven't released yet.

Besides, if you dowan that pending ticket edi, just let it be, it'll cancel your reservation by itself if you never settle the bill in the given period of time.

I hv a question reg self-check-in (domestic) - with this, I do not hv to queue at the check-in counter, right ? Can just go straight to boarding gate/counter ? What if I hv luggage to check-in ?
*
If you are leaving from LCCT. There are a few counters specially for luggage drop off. Print out your boarding pass after you have web check-in. Go to those counters and give them the board pass and passport. They'll then check in your luggage and tell you which gate it is you have to go to for boarding. You won't know which gate to go to unless you go to them.

QUOTE(gyver @ Feb 10 2011, 11:16 AM)
I thought the gate info is printed on every boarding pass???
*
It is if you check in at the counter.

If you print out your boarding pass thru web check-in, you have to go to their luggage drop-off counter to verify your documents before you can even proceed to security/immigration and departure lounge. The part under GATE on the printed boarding pass thru web check-in will be empty. Your seat number, flight number and all that will be on the boarding pass, but not the GATE info.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

AA is a budget airline, their cheapskate boarding pass doesn't bother me at all. As long as it serves its purpose, that's all fine. laugh.gif

Thanks for all the replies  smile.gif

But does this mean, even with self-check-in, I still have to go to the luggage drop-off counter regardless whether I have luggage to check-in or not, in order to get the gate no & verify the documents ? Is this counter different from the usual check-in counter?

Sorry for being blur, a noob at AA travel  blush.gif
*
It depends you wanna do a WEB check-in or a KIOSK check-in.
Kiosks are located at the airport. While web check-in you can do it online anytime from 7 days before your departure to I think 2 hours (not sure) before departure.

If web, then you have to get the gate number. If kiosk, then should be like what ken_zie has posted, the gate number is printed there.

Just a warning to people out there if they haven't already know.
I've received an email full of people complaining about how AA double charged their credit card and we all know how long it takes for them to refund money.
Also, some of them even had credit card fraud after purchasing online with AA.

Personally, my bf's credit card has also been fraud when he booked online with Tune Hotels.

So be careful. smile.gif

QUOTE(subrok007 @ Feb 14 2011, 10:13 AM)
guys,

if booked thru website, does our seat keep together or separate?

example, two person are sit together or separate.

if seat is separate, can we request upon check-in to sit together?
*
Most of the time yes. But I have gotten a few times where they separated me and my bf. So have to pay RM5 to change one of the seats. tongue.gif

Hello,

Ai ya, Airasia seperated me and my fiancee for my tomorrow flight. I am trying to change my allocated seat at the Web Check-in Seat Plan, but not able to. I follow the instruction, clicked the assigned seat first then clicked the seat that you like to change to. No response/change.

How???

I think @askairasia (twitter) is offline today due to today is a public holiday.
*
You try to go to manage your bookings there and reserve the seat first, then go for web check-in again and see if they gave you your seats or not.
You have to pay RM5 for each change of seats lor. Sometimes the seats next to your fiancee or you might not be empty so both of you will have to change seats.

Both of us are squeeze with unknown others. I guess I need fork out extra RM5.

Thanks munkeyflo. I following your instruction. Will feedback once done.

Feedback:
Adui, I think Airasia hard-coded its seat arrangement to seperate us. Even my return flight, we got seperated - same row, different column, seperated by a walk way. Hai...

I had sucesssfully adjust the seat arragement. Thanks again.

Aiks. Kesian. doh.gif
Have to pay that extra RM5 no choice lor. Unless short flight and you guys don't mind being separated lor.

dear all,  smile.gif

i check airasia website. the web check-in can be done from 7 days to 4 hours.
a) so, i can check in a week before my flight?? if my trip is only 3 days, then i can check-in both (to and return) already??

b) then, after i do web check in, do i still have to be at airport 3 hours before departure(international) or 2 hours before departure (dosmetic)?

c) if i didn't reserve seat (using online seat selection RM5), how high the percentage my friend and i will be separated? (we book ticket in same booking number)

d) if we are separated, and if the plane is quite empty, could we just move to other empty seat by ourselves?

sorry i am beginner in taking flight. please guide.  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif

thanks.
*
a) Yes can.
b) No. You can go slightly later. But I think it's 1 hour before. The boarding pass will inform you once you check in.
c) Hard to say. Usually book together will be together but sometimes they will separate you two also. You can always check in first then see the seating and pay RM5 to change your seats there at the web check-in page there.
d) Yes can. But AA flights most of the time full wan...

i never on9 booking with AA before

would like to ask

this time the big deal,
it show RM 34 , from penang to kuching

mean RM34 include everything d? i only need to pay RM34 will do?

or any oth charges?
mind to share wth me?
thank
*
Where did you see that price first..

If you saw it on their advertisment then most likely it's FROM RM34.
If you have already search for the particular flight, day, time and the ticket price is RM34 then you have to add airport tax (varies for diff airport) andden optional charges are baggage fee (RM15 cheapest), meals (RM10 like that), insurance, and convenience fee (if you pay thru credit card).

so how to get the total price ?
*
You see on the right there? Try to put in the origin and destination then choose your dates. Andden see the total price on the right. No harm trying to book the tickets as long as you don't key in your billing details it's all fine.

the convenience fee , if pay by maybank2u, got charge?

if i dw to buy the checkin luggage ,
how many kg can i hand carry?
*
maybank2u no charge, only credit cards

5kg I think, I've forgotten edi, have to check on their website. There's a limit to the size as well. And you can't carry liquid. But if domestic then I think no problem with the liquid.

If not mistaken, that one can hand carry. When I was there last year, my family brought back alcohol as well. 4 of us had one check in luggage only so the rest all handcarry.

hi guys..need some opinion here..i booked oredi tix to goldcoast (i wanna go sydney using jetstar )..so is it better to have travel insurance with airasia or jetstar..or i need to buy both?...or just buy some other travel insurance like axa or kurnia at some travel agencys?
opinions appreciated..thx!
*
If I were you I would just get travel insurance from insurance agents. Save the trouble if got any problems with either airline. Later you buy AA wan, then they say you fly Jetstar so cannot claim this that. sweat.gif

thx again!=)

Always always give like 4-5 hours time before your next flight.
AA always delay most of the time. Don't wanna miss your flight do you. Sometimes just can't help it but to avoid booking flights that are too closed together.
