because prisms are kinda expensive, and they are fairly slow and fragile. that, and it's strong point is mainly to warp in units, but know this: any additional units it warps that is more than what the prism initially carried within it, are pretty much doomed to their deaths. if the drop isnt successful to cover back the cost of those units that are warped in, you're pretty much gg'ing yourself. hope that answers why the lack of prisms even from korean pros

for this post anyways, i have a lot of caster units i hate using, regardless of reason.
i got my losses, and i know its deserving, and you dont see me QQ'ing over here much, if any for that matter.

granted, i know im not GM or pro korean or whatever, and its my game and im pretty much free to play it however i want, knowingly doing so (not playing like how the pros do, game after game with strict BO/play styles etc) may not win me every game especially when i play against better players.

it really boils down to individuals. if he does it and doesnt give a f*** about it, who are you to say anything. however, if he does it and kept crying non stop, i guess he deserves to get flamed anyways.

even better, since u are not planning for mid-late game rite, just bring all of ur scv along...
a simple 3 gate would have hold it off as i said...

it is not about unit stats...
it is ok not to know about the damage, armor, hp etc (i dun know all) but unit cost is what really matter in macro...
for example when ur warpgate cooldown is down, do u jz simply warp in units or u try to maximize the warp in with the amount of resource u have?
what about builds?
these resource requirements are what determine ur builds and timing ie when to get ur 2nd gas, when to cut workers etc...
it is more than just the stats and when u are providing a argument in a discussion, dun u think credibility or at least knowing what are u talking about matter?

first of all, why is it not about unit stats? a pricing of a unit should also be included as a unit stats because duh its a part of statistics?
if you can even ignore that, fine, then why is it OK to not know about the statistics of a unit (in ur case dmg/armor/hp etc excluding pricing), and suddenly its NOT OK on the price of a unit, that i RARELY EVER USE?

if i dont use a particular unit, why must i remember every precise detail (be it statistics and/or pricing, or rather just statistics sigh), or in particularly, its cost, when it is suddenly OK to forget whatever the hell it does? (how much pew pew it can dish out?)

i mean, i know the warp gate cooldown nerf is promoting heavy sentries before warp tech is done. but quite frankly, im not following those build trends. i dont follow to pro build orders, i just do whatever the hell i like. i've stated clearly, that i know i will lose games, and i am FINE losing those games if it really came down to not building x amount of y units just because its the pro thing to do and not doing it will mean auto lose. (which, isn't the case as i dont have 100% lose rate either)

if you still cant understand, here, let me repeat:
you can go ALL DAY about your pro builds, pro play, pro macro, pro micro, however you have to realize, NOT EVERYONE are GSL players, NOT EVERYONE WANTS to play super pro, and certainly NOT EVERYONE CAN play pro despite knowing pro stuff (pro build order pro whatever)

you want to question my credibility just because i mess up how much gas a sentry cost, wouldn't you think by now this damn forum (god forbid the world) knows that i could give a rat's ass about sentries despite seeing how pro tester or pro MC can do with it?

hell, what am i even arguing anyways? jeff asked a question, i provided an answer. it was as simple as that until you guys decide to show your pro 1337 skillz at the same time neglecting on the main point, or rather, the main question that was being asked. now how pro does that make you? giving out pointless ramblings when someone (jeff in this case) doesnt even want to hear, versus just answering him what he wanted? at the end of the day he still wont see you as a pro regardless which path you choose, and as a matter of fact you aren't a pro gamer either. so really, why the hell would you bother?

clearly using sentry (a unit in game) is GSL lvl...
even pressing the guardian skill put u in GSL lvl...

again i say: the price of units have heavy impact on ur macro game especially protoss if u wanna warp in the right units... aren't we talking bout strategy here? it is like playing chess and say i am not gonna the rook lawl
