imho, the CORE unit for zvz would be hydra...
but still...roach opening is pretty good against banelings... they are 1 bloody hell of a tanker...lolz and spine crawlers are not good against mass lings... js get 1 or 2 to scare off your opponent...lol |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Nov 2 2010, 01:04 PM) the other day i was spamming muta but the opponent held ground very well. later he come with vikings + thor + marines combo. i gg liao. no way i can beat that with just muta and lings. u need blings when there's marines...they make a good couple what would be great to vs viking / thor / marine combo? air unit confirm gone case. ground unit? marines and thor, quite deadly. even more deadly if the fella got medivac and SCV around. what would you guys suggest? and blings will also melt scv if they are nearby so u kill 2 or more wif 1 blings |

QUOTE(kei_86 @ Nov 11 2010, 05:03 PM) if this is asked already then I'm sorry, but on a ZvZ mu how do you deal with enemy cheesing you with 6pools? it's pretty hard unless u go for early scout or go for latest pool timing would be overpool or earlier...14 pool stil can defend it but risky if they include spines or a good macro (keep making lings without delay)... regarding banshee, nowadays i alwiz go for 3 queens when i have 2 hatch due to phobia against this...lolz usually they came wif hellions 1st....after tat followed by banshee...then expand or mm...really aggressive |

QUOTE(rontol @ Nov 29 2010, 02:29 AM) if opponent is rushing void ray...get queen when lair is building...around 3 at least... when lair done, get hydras... Added on November 29, 2010, 12:39 pm QUOTE(Moonflown @ Nov 22 2010, 08:35 PM) I'm glad that Zerg thread is growing rapidly. Lets swarm other races. we are already leading the pack IMHO, most of the time Zerg doesn't need higher tier units to win if played correctly. T1/T2 swarms could end most of the games already. Keep replenishing 200/200 T2 army is scary enough This post has been edited by aLertz: Nov 29 2010, 12:39 PM |

QUOTE(jeffvip @ Dec 2 2010, 01:09 PM) I am talking bout army of course. Typically, mid game Zerg will have at least 3 hatchery. that is f*king 3x7 units to be produce at the same time. How bout high level game? 4 to 5 hatchery? thats insanely crazy u 4got tat hatch was meant to build any units, drones, ground units, air units and also SUPPLY which is OVERLORD !!it's not js for army while terran n protoss can separate their productions which mean they can build scv/probes together with like 4 gateway units + air units all at 1 time...not to count supply which doesn't need production building unlike zerg.... so stop thinking bout imbalance n use your favourite race to pwn every1 else... |

muta == js kill watever u can get without engaging opponent's army or defence building...this include supply, production buildings, wandering units like marine, scv, tanks, lone medivac...
eventhough u didn't kill or destroy it, it will still distract him for a while and maybe he'll 4get to do what he's plannin earlier |

QUOTE(evofantasy @ Jan 7 2011, 03:12 PM) what are ur opening to it? yeah on 2-base...i presume u are on 2 base? depending on map, u can have spinecrawlers + lings... if no spine then maybe some roach ling... while that happen try to counter with a small group of ling... recently change to play-safe style which is getting speedlings before expand... keep can't manage to get enough roaches or lings to defend it my 2nd base also not saturated... i saw bestfOu did counter it b4 by reserving lots of larva n mass lings but sometimes da pathway is small lings are not so effective... |

QUOTE(quest_5692 @ Feb 14 2011, 05:20 PM) errrr.....i tried a few games using hydra against muta but didnt work quite well.....your creep spread must be super imba..... yeah creep spread is a must, at least around your base...hydra > muta is very true...u try go muta.. opponent sure go hydra n u will feel how hard it is to harass... and 1 more thing, your hydra can't leave base until a certain mass... else it'll be a nightmare since muta fly so fast da easier solution would be spores...lol but must be strategically placed... |
