How do you deal with a turtling Terran who's not doing anything but just scanning you from time to time to see what you have and just not moving out at all?

I've taken a lot of expos and droned up like a crazy person and all but the army composition is just really difficult to beat when the Terran has a max army with full Mech support..

Infestors a bit harder for me to work with because I can't really position them good enough for some solid Fungal Growths..

i think u did the right thing wit ur expansions...
depends how many base they have though...
generally if they are on 3 base turtle, u can jz go 5 base BL/ corruptor/ infestor...
then store up ur larvae to remax if needed...

while u are getting there, be annoying wit ur mutas/ ling/ blings...
it will tax the opponent multitasking while u slow down their mech...

Ultralisks are just useless in SOOOOO many ways it's crazy.. Though I must say, in the lower leagues, you just don't see as many ghost plays as you do in the higher level leagues.. :\

ultralisk are good but u need really good fungals and upgrades to go with it together with loads of cracklings during remax...
u can transition into/ out of a BL tech switch as it is much better now after the ghost nerfs...

have macro hatches and an extra spawning pool somewhere as well if u wanna play this style...

Hmm.. I'll try that the next time I play with someone who plays a straight up game.. Which seems to be extremely rare these days..

after the ghost nerf, zergs switching between ultra and bl can really wear terran off. so now slowly alot of top korean pros play pure bio in late game. marine marauder medivac > all lol

Added on March 18, 2012, 10:33 pmbecause BL ultra style is very immobile and mmm will nvr be inefficient against either ultra/bl

not cost effective unless it's some key tech structure like cybernetics core or whatever that you need to take down really fast.. like baneling bust or whatever.. hmm.gif

constant scouting and tech counter.. getting speedlings and banelings helps.. use the speedlings to sandwich the mm ball.. It'll work wonders wink.gif

Get up a fast 3rd base, keep your base 1 up against your opponent. You will get to T3 faster than the Terran if your macro is on-spot.

If Terran go pure mech, they're immobile and they rely on heavy, large pushes. Usually Terrans go for Marine Tanks though, nowadays, and they add 1 or 2 Thor when Muta clumps are huge.

Pick up and Overlord, call Sarah Kerrigan and ask her help. Instawin.

Seriously though, I'm not really sure how to handle mech myself.. Usually I decide win or loss before he can get very far up the tech path..
