Have you all seen the replay between Ace and Idra? My goodness, Idra is a solid Zerg player and Ace just made a fool of him

hey, in ZvP, what will you guys follow up after Muta Lings? just now played on cross position, used mutaling to gain map control over gateway units, then suddenly im out of idea how to continue the game as mutaling wont win you the game. so....................i just jump to ultralisks and mass expand just now lol...nearly lost but won in an epic fashion lol...but i dun think mutaling str8 jump to ultra will be a good idea...i finished them off with broodlords after corruptors clean up the collosi...

i go straight broodlords if the game drags to late game..
ultras r not so good against blink stalkers + immortals....probably can mess up their blink micro a bit,but not too much.. and because of those blink, any surround with lings would be particularly ineffective. more so when they blink to tight spaces, decreasing the amount of space available for the lings to attack... if broodlords, i literally forced them to blink closer to hit me.. |

Hmm... you actually use Mutaling in ZvP? I thought ZvP is all about massing roaches and hydras and go kill your opponent. |

ok noted...with mutas, i generally would be very very aggressive..then,the opponent would put cannons around their base.like, mass cannons...would banelings be good against it,or should i just wait n defend against their push, then do counter-attack?

moon has some really aggressive timings....love his hydra drops.....i love to use it on scrap station against toss, especially when most of the time toss will go for air or 4 gate on scrap station...just upgrade Ovie and hit a timing push

Hi For MutaLing, congrats if you can pop them.
I suggest controlling the game with speedlings and pop 10+ at once muta out to harass the protoss probe. if you successfully control the protoss dual base probe line, you have won. However if you didnt manage to do enough damage and the game goes on. continue to pump muta, harass his templar archive (if he go storm, kill his upgrade or temple of adun for blink) or forge when hes upgrading, always kill his building that is researching for maximum damage. The only way to get Hard-countered is when enemy goes Phoenix and VR then expand 3rd base and make collosi-stalker-vr for their death ball. After you see 2-3 stargate up, continue making muta and Corrupters, with more ratio of corrupters. Make sure u spore up your base protect your overlord. once he gets pheonix, he will have the control of the game again and you will lose control. so defend, get a 3rd .. mine up. follow up with corrupters , lots of it and then hydra ling. then go for broodlords if there are more collosus and stalker. if there are more air units and stalkers get more corrupters n hydra if there are more zealot, get some roach to tank. if he stop making pheonix, go back to mass muta/ling or mass roach/corrupter depending on what unit he make. u will have a 4th and 5th base by then. If your muta harass fails, dont waste your muta, use the little mutas to harass left and right. at the same time, take more bases, macro up. continue massing hard counter units depending on what they make. *Remember to balance drone-unit ratio so you can defend if he ever decided to attack you , cause he got pissed with your harassment. ZvP is all about Hard Unit counter whoever mix the right ratio of different unit wins. One of the biggest advantage Zerg has over protoss in 4+ base fight is the ability to re-pop instantly and tech switching, use that to advantage! IE: blooody battle ends roach vs immortal/stalkers ends. protoss won badly, re-pop 50 zerglings. enemy toss who won the battle with 25 stalkers and continue making immortals to counter your roach will get teared. by the time they realize and start making zealot and collosus.. its over. thanks for the input huntress! i played around with mutaling for a few games with cross positions, ya srt8 pop into 10 muta works pretty well and probably force stargate or HT. when they go stargate VR, i realize most of the time my unit composition will turn into corrupter/roach mass push cuz the timing will hit much earlier..if not just mass expand and tech up everything in the world lol...arrrghhhhhh.....played zerg for 2-3 weeks now im feeling abit in love with zerg!!!!!!! but probably wont switch race lol...
