I always hear things like this,

If people fast tech / rush you, the best thing you can do is to counter attack their base.

I just realise corrupter has 6 range

So whats a good unit to start a siege on those pesky cannonwall/terranwalls?

Other than teching up to t3
*
cannon wall --> expand, cannon is not cheap they cannot possible to have more force than you have
terran wall --> it's always there, try to go air harass, drop nydus play, drop play or map control play

early phoenix? Go rush his base with whatever you have. Your ground army should > his since he went air tech and zerg T1 > gateway units.

1-2 zealot choke + stalkers or even cannons says hello.

you only need hive only AFAIK (only BL need GS), which you can use infestors' fungal on phoenix to make things easier
you're right. thought the 2nd upgrade is hive. LOL. blur me.

i was doing a ling rush the other day and this guy, instead of walling the choke point. he built forge and cannons near nexus. interesting, at least to me. 1st time i see this placement. end up i have to fall back.

its not uncommon if he dont know your race at the beginning (if you play random for example), or if he wants the slight economical advantage/better probe defense should he send out his army to not have anything to guard the choke/ramp

usually i'd go for infested terrans for canon walls. it just scares the shit out of protoss players.

and as for terran wall. i'd use broodlords. stick broodlings up their ass.

I'm surprised the Terran players didn't faceroll you with MMM or even MM+Thor combo before you get your broodlords.

i find it takes too long to reach broodlords, and their travel is so slow, so escorts are recommended.

i usually just go mutalisk. spam like 10 - 20 before going, and bring along some ground forces with that.

Cannons on mineral lines are pretty common now that I've see to counter muta harrasement

Is it me or blizzard adds Infestor just to troll with Collossus/Thor?

i actually do this kind of defensive placement a lot...
its somewhat the bisu build of sc1 where u have 1 cannon near ur nexus to cover ur mineral line and def with 1-2 zealots accordingly...
it is also safer vs baneling/ reapers/ 2gate openings...

terran players. nowadays use marauders to wall up the ramp... which makes baneling bust quite hard =(

doesnt matter hw many thors he have as long as u can get the critical mass and learn to magic box...

Magic box only works against splash damages, dont use it on marines unless u have bunch of mutas. Otherwise u can group them and snipe units and makes them harder to snipe yours smile.gif rolleyes.gif

ya u still can...
u need to micro ur mutas to bundle up and keep moving...
and u need a larger critical mass nw as they'll auto spread out...
so ur snipe must be 1-2 shot...
