If the pylons and cannons are still a bit of a distance from me, I'll warp a forge and then place my own cannon line. If your cannon warps in first, it will form a natural defence line against the other cannons.

Usually, I won't get cheesed too easily. Even if I get cheesed, its usually from a faraway area where he'll have to slowly inch over to my Nexus/mineral line area. Hence why I counter with my own cannons.

How good do you guys rate charge?

For 200/200 in the middle of teching up to robo or stargate, plus the resources for twilight council, sometimes, I'm so tempted to skip that altogether.

Although I know it does well against marauder heavy terrans.

I find charge sucks against zerg T1 units though. lings, roaches and some hydras.

Anyone use it as a staple for a 3gate or 4gate build?

terrans have always been aggressive. damn annoying when you wanna expo, they park some marauders there.

also, they can even do some poking at your base super early with 2 marines and you can't do shit with 1 zealot >_<

They can send 2 marines before i even get the stalker out... sometimes i run away and let the pylon tank the dmg lol

What I meant was, would you guys try to get a robo out quickly after 1 gate, then rush out obs? Or take your time bringing it out?

Immortal first or obs first? That's the gist of my question =D

You 4gate, got use sentries ff or not? I recently learnt how to use ff. My units don't die easily to mm ball now.

The most annoying thing I find about gate units in early game is when moving to engage enemy, stalkers go front line and get eaten by ling's coz they walk so fast. Zealots lag behind and then when try to get to front line but blocked by fat noob stalkers. By the time get to the lings all stalkers die Liao.

Still want to know which unit compositions you would go against toss/terran in a PvP or PvT matchup.

1) 3gates 1robo

or

2) 4gates

I almost always do an attack at 6 min OR as soon as 1 immortal comes out. I am finding option 1 a lot stronger, but I may be only playing with gold/plats...

Is a 3gate 1robo army a solid build @ 6 minutes?

Heyy? I was asking about starting play. I know openings are very important. Just like a game of chess. Lousy openings against my brother in chess always make me fail.

Anyway, I take it that the answer is 3 gate .. and I will most oftenly go 1 robo.

I feel naked w/o obs nowadays. And insecure without 1 immortal against any tosses.

I used to go for stargate blindly and send void to scout+harass but that's too much risky for me nowadays, as the players pitted against me are better n better =/
