Finally broke my loss streak to terran last night.
Thanks Quazacolt. Pressuring the opponent worked wonders.

My opponent can't even leave his base after our first and second clash in the middle. He wanted to try to siege tank the entrance but later found out that its impossible with the colossus sniping it down with the help of the observer. smile.gif

Maybe I met a weak terran. His army seems kinda small. Either that or our constant clashes was effective as he don't have the time to build up his army at all as he kept losing them. smile.gif

Actually sometimes is the initial mindset an perception which set you back, back then I used to think that terran is unbeatable, starting to have such a mindset set you back and cause you to do many unforce error.

I believe you start to have positive mindset it might have upturn the whole game entirely (I realise this when I saw thread of terran complaining Zerg and Protoss being Imba), obviously everyone having their own problem vs other race

Yea you're right there. I was at a loss on what to do for the pass few days as when I went to gold league, all the terrans are doing a much better MMM than the ones I met when I was in bronze league so I kept losing until I kept trying ways to defend against it. So instead I see an even harder to defeat army and lost even more confidence against them. tongue.gif It was quite a setback for me.

glad to know that my replays helped smile.gif
lets not forget typical terran players' mindsets are expecting you to leave them alone while they have it their way walling off/turtling/macroing etc. the moment you tell them that aint happening, it deviates from their original plan and if they cannot adept, they will crumble.

you may even use the concept of "turtling" for reference. imagine a turtle, or tortoise. when you approach it, it will hide itself in the shell right? what happens, if you do not leave, and keep on knocking on the shell? will the turtle come out? no. you basically kept the animal contained within its own shell to rot. However, should the turtle denies you, or is in desperation (eg: hunger), it may suddenly come out and bite your hand/finger. and that will injure you no doubt (try getting bitten by a grown tortoise/turtle tongue.gif)

now, apply this into starcraft, do you see things much clearer in terran match ups overall now? tongue.gif

My worst match up is still against Terran though. Despite so many matches, I still have this little fear in me going against them. And worst, when I do think like that, I'll lose most of the time. Already lost even before the match starts.

Saw my pvt yet? Lol

=edit=
btw, seperate the qualifying and group replays lol

if you think it takes up too much space by splitting or just plain copying the coded bunch i sent to you, an easy solution is spoilering them
the rough desc also gives people a rough idea of what they may expect before downloading replays. so they dont have to download what they dont want to see (eg: renson schooling me LAWL)

check out this replay... rarely do we see ppl play on desert oasis cause of the long distance from main to main but this will serve as a good example on how to PvZ on this map.

It's also feature on day9's netcast.

Yea. I get it now. smile.gif
Though I've met quite a few that are aggressive terrans but I think its also because I let them turtle long enough to go aggressive. tongue.gif
If I keep knocking on their shell, they'll probably start to crack. I just hope they don't suddenly drop an army in my base hence the biting back haha.

I certainly don't wanna get bitten by a turtle. The ones I've seen is as big as me...
They'll probably bite my hand off. tongue.gif

haha yeah and thank god for well placed observers to prevent any sneaky drops. sometimes, its a toss up on observers/scanner. scans are just 1 side, limited time. while the observer is forever there and can move around seeing so much more intel.

very notable on the game against Arwa, where i had damn good observer placement, and played as if i was maphacking LOL
that probably got him dumbfounded and he played very poorly from then on (noticed his unspent resources and APM?)

imagining myself in HIS place, i think i would be in the same situation too, frustrated, things that were plan arent working out, running out of options, etc. thats one situation where one should never be in if he wants to win.

btw i had my share of experience of being bitten when i was little. lotsa blood is all i can say lol. and boy do they cling HARD, hard to keep slamming the shell on concrete till it finally let go of my finger lol

Haha yea think he was expecting to win with that drop. Failed the first time and had to pull back.
Then he got sniped by your colossus at the bottom on the 2nd drop and lost his troops.
Probably not sure what to do after that seeing that his minerals was already hitting 1.2k and above.
Think he was running out of ideas since he saw that you have so many colossus already.

Wow ouch. Scary tortoise... blink.gif

i guess u mean lost temple?
i prefer to take the natural as it is easier to defend...
as bout when, it depends on lots of factors like my build, my attacks and wut my opponents are doing...
