its not easy to carpet storm terran, terrans now put ghost infront then scan the protoss to snipe HT. suddenly, those expensive HT all die in split second.

mass gateway units with superior upgrade. sentries are good. you prolly wont have problem with terran if your macro is good UNTIL the point when terrans are good with ghost controls.

storm is good in SC2 because units tend to clump up WAYYYYYY more than sc1. due to few reasons like unit model, easy mechanisms...

and you have FF...

if your army is small and at a defensive position. just FF a row and storm behind of it, then they will need to retreat.

now im kinda expecting them adi. this kind of timing can be learnt from playing tons of ZvZ, the feeling when playing PvZ is the same, when you see your opponent sitting back and roach count not increasing, can kinda expecting muta adi.

a few diff styles....genius's style require less apm, he put some chargelot at possible drop place... and cannon...

huk and hero those higher apm protoss will put 1 high templar and feedback the medivac...sometimes with 2-3 stalker there...

and i think i played you in ladder b4...lol not sure, alot SPR player in SEA server.

basically 1 base vs 1 base terran favored, 2 base and above as long as protoss and terran same base count is protoss favored unless terran execute some sick timing or protoss sack the whole army hit bunkers.

best way? mass gateway into double forge into templar. IMO only in certain timing you can use collosus....normally for a 2 base all in....after 3 base stage, collosus kinda slow in dealing with drops and easy to counter compare to the more flexible HT...but because so many terrans nowadays go for fast ghost, sometimes a 2 base collosus rush will just win you the game outright because opponent late starport tech.

yes. definitely. the later the game is, the better position protoss is in. because you can reach 3-3 upgrade faster than terran. when you have both templar tech and collosus tech and 3-3, rarely protoss will lose.....unless you f*** up your micro la.

mass gateway means mix zealot stalker sentry lo....then put twilight council research blink charge and get templar archieve for HT and archon. upgrades are important tho. basically now in ladder most of my opponents will just go gateway heavy..

a good protoss player will have good forcefield. learn how to forcefield is the most important thing a protoss must learn. how to learn? i also dno. im not a protoss. but put some effort in improving your forcefields and you will shine.

rush collosus? a terran that produce both tank and rauders will have not enuf gas for starport etc...it sounds like a 2 base all in...rule of thumb. collosus is the answer to any terran 1-1-1~ push, the question is just if you can survive until collosus are out. (its hard because a good terran will exploit pre-collosus timing) if you want a safer way, the answer is dont over make stalker. i realize a lot protoss waste their gas on too much stalker. stalkers are only good in defending drop and cut reinforcement. you will need a handful (9-16 max) just to do aobve that 2. but during main engagement, still chargelots, HT, collosus, archon, immortal are the main damage dealer. stalkers just evaporate. during engagement, bring your stalker to behind to cut reinforcement. then the others just attack the terran. if its a really early push (10-12 minute) chrono out immortal and get zealot sentry. stalker cut reinforcement. if its a 2 base tank crawl, get collosus stalker ball or archon zealot ball....and UPGRADE.

all these comments are based on my tvp experience, what i hate the most from protoss.

about the sentries, to survive early rushes and still expo-ing, protoss will only warp in sentries in early game. start saving their mana. then the minerals use to build nexus forge gateway etc...then when saw opponent walk out from base, only warp in 3 zealot. 3 zealot 5 sentry can take on......alot of stuff with FF. FF is an art, really alot of things to learn and a good FF-er is a good protoss player.


Added on March 4, 2012, 7:48 amin late game why they dont make sentry is because in PvT, HT and collosus are muchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh more important and those things are gas intensive. thats why only make sentries in early game get until about 8 and try your very best to keep them alive (no.1 priority in engagement)

tips for terran also. if you are forced an undesirable engagement, always snipe sentry. cuz protoss rarely remake them.

lol i tot no1 gateway expand in PvZ anymore. safe = forge FE, risky greedy = nexus first..... but FFE need to put alot homework, play against computer to know where all your buildings should put to make the perfect wall. tho protoss are good (complainnnnnnnnnnnnn), protoss need to put alot of hardwork on their side too.
