I don't know how many of you like that game but I certainly do. biggrin.gif

I wish PC got more shoot'em up like this.

so far only reach level 2......... playing when feeling sleepy is not a good idea but overall it's damn fun.

let whatever LV matters be on this thread. wink.gif

eh, pass level one easy only.

level 2 is more challenging cos the scourge will explode and become those harmful materials.

i didn't try too long cos i busy with campaign.

ehh got so many levels? i take the same item 1st and 2nd time i see improvements. 3rd time onwards like no improvements.

i notice one time i had a purple front beam and some side missiles or something. can 2 weapon at once?

not sure. shitty game that makes you spend hours eh? smile.gif

wahhh actually hor, the game quite easy. i reached level 8 to die out of being swarmed for the most part.

the things attack ah, drones keep dying only cos very close proximity.

biggrin.gif

those who want to win, here's my formula other than being awake and keep alert.

level 1
get 2x side missile first (yellow). then get 2 drones (red). from this point onwards. try to get 2 plasma (pink). the plasma replaces the side missile. after this point, just keep collecting bombs (i have 17 bombs at level 8, the point of my demise. tongue.gif)

you can use the side missile all the way but plasma kills level bosses and those other guardian units MUCH faster. you could actually start off with the plasma weapon.

level boss is easy - just stay at the center and keep firing. when the boss attempts his power weapons, move to say the lower left side of the screen. once he starts firing, you move from 1 end to the other. it works anywhere on the screen but i suggest lower left to right (or right to left) beause there's more space, plus the shape of your ship. (yes yes, i play shoot'em ups!)

note that you need not rush from 1 end to the other. you could stay put, let the fella fire 2 - 3 rounds before shifting to the next clear area.

level 2
plasma works fine here but i find going side missiles are more useful because they really come in swarms. other configurations same. and yes, still keep collecting those bombs.

level boss seems tough for 1st time, i lost 3 ships on my 1st try. after that it's easy. just stay at the center. keep a watch on the tentacle, it's slow but it'll aim for you. just move about and distance yourself and you're fine. the boss' special attack is easy. just stay away from center and you're fine.

level 3
plasma works fine here but i find going side missiles are more useful because they really come in swarms. other configurations same. and yes, still keep collecting those bombs.

level boss is tough here but shouldn't be a problem if you have some missiles there. just keep shooting from the center. the 1st salvo the boss fires comes in streams. they're ok.

the next one would be a bunch of circular spam, pretty tough to avoid sometimes. along with it would be the beam from side to side, that one not hard to avoid. at a later point, he would launch spinning disc, that one moves all over the screen, tricky.

you could actually finish the boss even before he throws the disc. smile.gif how? use bomb! why'd ya think I highlighted the bomb collection!

--------------

USING BOMB - the bomb should be collected as often as you can. no point taking the power up you already have. just keep accumulating the bombs. if the situation looks really tight, BOMB! this applies to every scene, especially level 2 (all parts) and level 3 (some parts, and the boss).

my ending score at level 8 was about 428k or so. biggrin.gif have fun!

My score at level 8 is 480k

480k cos you use side missile all the way.

overall score is higher with side missile.

i use plasma cos takes down boss faster.

ehh, that's why we both die at level 8 lor. those zerg things are insane.

you bomb 1 time just blow up the scourge. then you have to bomb again to blow those green goo.

But switching back and forth from side missiles to purple laser beam is a waste i think.

From my observation lv 1, 2 and 3 the auto seek missiles x 3 suffices to kill all the small fry. Just a matter of mashing the keys repeatedly to spam.

I got like 90% + confirmed creeps doing it this way.
Purple beam is important to have for mini and final bosses. Switching to them last minute before boss fight is very risky, not to mention you still need purple beams for mini bosses anyway.

Extra bombs would probably be much more useful then switching back and forth between side attacks and purple beams.
But then again you both had better results then me finshing at lv 8, whereas i got to 4. But i felt i lost concentration at 4 but i still feel my setup is more efficient, although should probably collect more bombs like you guys did.
yes, it is like that. later levels can't afford to switch. i go purple beam all the way.

for me, the 2 drones is a MUST but later levels, they die quite often due to the crazy amount of flak coming at us.

i like purple beam a lot because i don't like wasting time with level boss BUT about the beam, switching to level 1 beam is pointless. just realize that it's not as powerful as i thought.

later levels don't care so much about drones already. cos they die non stop, especially on zerg level, unless you bomb.

drones die non stop?...well, i rather use a bomb to save my drones though

drones are like extra lives...bombs too as well...but losing a life = waste time picking up your weapons again + you have no drones...XD

dones help too at auto aiming units...XD

pulse lazer is good only for boss matches...

i killed the second terratron with around his half hp left with just normal shots (no upgrades)...imagine that...XD
*
yes i know but hor the drones once they die, you have this tendency to want to restore it, and could end up dying.

biggrin.gif

but usually they die only a lot only at level 5 and 8. (zerg levels). other levels are quite alright. i use bomb on green goo.

can't spam bombs all the time, i reach level 14 that time i only have less than 5 bombs left i think.
