Corsair K95 user reporting in!
Anyways anyone here has bought or sourced Corsair FPS Replacement Keycaps? The red contoured ones meant for the K70. Would like to get a set for the K95.

QUOTE(bingding @ Feb 7 2014, 01:20 PM) Hahahah no I got the K95. But it's basically a K70 with an extra bank of 18 macro keys and white LED backlight. The K70 has red LED backlight instead. But otherwise, the Cherry MX Red keys are fantastic for gaming. However, you can also get a custom mechanical keyboard like the Ducky or Filco MKBs since the layouts are similair to the K70, but you have more customizing options. |

QUOTE(zstan @ Jun 7 2014, 02:44 PM) hello all. i am interested to get a blue switch keyboard, mostly for typing and casual dota 2 gaming. Yup get the ducky. Solid cherry MX switches. No nonsense design. None of that gaming switch crap or extra LED panels. Don't know why there has to be a ddistinction between gaming boards and mechanical anyways. You can play DoTA just fine on a Poker iI anyhow or BF4 on a Filco.i've read the first page regarding the recommendations and after going through some reviews I think i am pretty sold on the ducky zero. my budget is about RM300-350 maybe. any comments? Be warned that Blue can get a bit loud when used heavily over long periods though. This post has been edited by Sentinel92: Jun 7 2014, 03:14 PM |

QUOTE(Y.J.S @ Jun 7 2014, 03:18 PM) Well he shouldn't be asking advice regarding mechanical keyboard in a gaming keyboard thread, don't you agree? Corsair makes mechanical gaming keyboards. How do we split that? Is it a gaming board? Or a mechanical keyboard? Gaming keyboard users will definitely bias towards those non-mechanical gaming keyboards instead of something like Ducky Zero Or Deck Hassium. Or CM Quickfire. The term gaming has been marketed by companies to a point where Normal gaming keyboards have taken preference over proper mechanical ones. Nothing wrong to have proper mechanical switches. I'd rather take a MX Red Ducky over a Razer Deathstalker. The MKB thread is more for pure mechanical KBs. Gaming keyboards can be anything. Like I said, even 60% poker can be used for competitive DoTA. So why not? As for them being bias, in the end its their money their choice. But no harm recommending a solid MKB? No? QUOTE(zstan @ Jun 7 2014, 03:54 PM) Thanks for the reply! Hahaha no, it's just loud for other people if you use over long periods. If you're using it at home alone then no issues. You mean the sounds will get louder the more regular i use the keyboard? I thought all high end gaming keyboards are mechanical? And not really. There are expensive membrane ones as well. But you get my point above. |

QUOTE(zstan @ Jun 7 2014, 07:58 PM) haha hopefully my family members won't get too annoyed by the sound. otherwise i can always port to my laptop and hide in my room. Yeah as long no one working nearby should be fine. My friends have caused havoc in offices they use MX Blue in. Either colleagues buy headphones, radio's or shift further. was considering the i-rocks as well but the blue switch sound was kinda tempting :/ QUOTE(imbibug @ Jun 7 2014, 07:29 PM) Was about to say you already tried it. Looooool. |

QUOTE(lightonokira @ Jun 17 2014, 12:37 AM) Damn my rosewill RK-9000 (MX RED) numpad + button stopped working after 10 days of use. Bro the SWITCH is supposed to last for years. Shoddy construction, slack QC and lousy PCBs curtail the overall lifespan of the MKB itself. RMA it and see what happens. Lucky my sixth month old K95 is still kicking.I thought mechanical keyboards suppose to last for years. Just a bit mashing on SFIV and this happens =.= |
