Sidewinder x4. Red backlit. Rm189 but not a lot of shop can find this anymore. Or logitech g110, 3 switchable color backlit. For the noise more or less the same, maybe i never go bother it since non mech keyboard noise still consider ok for me

Sidewinder x4 hard to find? Obsolete? I think I'm more confident for Logitech between those two. How about other brand?

not sure about the G110, but if you're looking at Logitech they do have a backlit keyboard that they claimed to have silent keystrokes search for Logitech Illuminated Keyboard

Guys, going to get a new keyboard, which shop allow us to try or test the product? Looking for G110.

Steelseries have the keyboard I want or not with my current budget? Silent? Hmmm... I don't have the chance to try because no time to go to shop. So, I ask from forumer and order from LYN.

I don't actually see SS building a quiet KB before.. but if its anything, their mech kb are tough and heavy.. very solidly built from the feel of it at the shop... they do have the Merc, and shift series as well very rare u can find shops that have them... SS is more to mouse, headphones and gaming surfaces lately

How about G510? I heard it's RM 210.

Currently using the G510

key sound is normal i guess, being rubber dome and all, the back-lighting is ok for me... not that I have other to compare it with but its sufficient to type in the dark build quality is solid for a plastic build

the G-keys is good but the KB is longer than most in this aspect so it'll take some time getting used to the extra keys on the left side. The media keys on the right is good but depending on what software you use it with, there may be some lag... vlc is no problem so far

software is easy to use but could use some more updated games.. otherwise just create one form scratch the display is limited to the apps but IINM you could install additional apps for the display... haven't tried it yet so far.. some games like Dragon Age can display your character stats like life,mana etc.... oh yeah... MSI AB can be displayed there too

if there are any qualms about the G510 is that it will restart itself whenever you plug in a headphone/mic so there is a waiting time of about 5secs before you'd hear any sound

So, what's the difference between G510 and G110. Can't find one... If only due to display, nah... I don't need it. Do you mean G110 produce less noise than G510?

the G110 have less macro keys and no lcd.. other features look the same and the keys are the same IINM.... you could compare them side by side as most shops will have both models on their shelves

No time to go shop and buy. Even if buy at Sarawak, also at SRP. If buy from LYN, might get cheaper price.

I'll look for the vid. But seems like I don't need the LCD etc. So for G510/G1100 vs ordinary keyboard, how is the sound? My keyboard start to be annoying after 1 year usage. The "ketek ketok" sound are... So tek tok...

then g110 should be a great choice for u, since backlit color not a big issue for u, my g510 is quite silent

g110 only can switch between 3 colors
g510 can switch to any colors u like

and ya, the backlit of both model is quite dim also

X4 even worse, the butterfly layout at WASD owned me.

mechanical keyboard like 7G and 6Gv2 using cherry mx black switches which are much quieter and Razer mechanical keyboard and most of the normal rubber dome keyboard.

They seldom introduce new keyboard but my opinion is they can't developed better product yet.

G510 is a rubber dome keyboard with large numbers of macro keys, lcd, backlit and etc.
If you never use macros key and the lcd basically just gimmicks, then G510 is not recommended.

If you are a hardcore MMO player, the can fully utilize the macro zone, then sure go ahead [PS: check out G110 as well, a cheaper version of G510]

Isn't G510 is upgrade from G110? I'm not MMO player so that button won't be a necessary. I think I'll proceed with G110 or else, get cheapest mech keyboard that have white backlit. I hate blue and red backlit. Make my eyes painful.

G110 is introduce later than G510 (if i not mistake), I won't say G510 is an upgrade version of G110 but G110 is a reduced version of G510.

I do think G110 satisfy most of the people's need.

Since you willing to pay this price range, a mechanical keyboard shouldn't be problem.

As you don't like the backlit, why don't just get 1 without backlit.

A topre or leopold with cherry MX red switches only cost you less than 300 and they are very well built products.

G110 released after G510? Because review in youtube claim that G510 is upgrade of G110 . Nevermind... But I need backlit because I'm "crawling in the dark" type. Ducky 9008 are so expensive. I might sacrifice backlit and get my self brown cherry switches keyboard.
