The review seems to be BIASED towards RAZER... rclxub.gif
No doubt that RAZER is expect at making those bling bling to attract customer but i think the review should be at least fair? sweat.gif
*
Everdying did a short review long time ago, it's a fair review.

The review sounds like biased to BW. That's is because of BW's price is much more lower.
Actually i do believe even though himself is prefer 7G more than BW just 7G is overpriced.

To me, it's a fair review. It's a fact, MX Blue is crap compare to black, red and brown in gaming.
if you are not satisfied with that review, then Google is your friend.

BW is something more like, "good on the outside, what about the inside?"
*
Not really la, it can be good, but i don't like mx blue, too clicky and tactile.
Average i think the performance should be okay but need pray hard for the quality control.

yea...  doh.gif so anyone getting it?  tongue.gif would like to hear some opinions from the first batch of customers getting it~  tongue.gif If I'm not in Malacca right now I woulda just grab it straight away anyway~ tongue.gif but will probably get it next Monday~  biggrin.gif
*
If the first batch customers are giving very good feedback for the BW, then December PC fair, Razer booth's BW maybe will out of stock in first day.

Who are going to LYP and check out the BW, please inform me through here. Wanna know any of the shop having browsing unit for it. Wanna compare MX black and blue asap.

It's really really clicky. LOL!

I only tried the arrow keys since nobody wants to open theirs in Moderno just yet.
*
Then you like the clicky key??

I think i won't because after i get used to MX black, even normal rubber dome click i also hate feel so weird.

nope... it'll remain in my collection~  tongue.gif will compare between the King of Membranes and the mechanical monster when it arrives next week~
*
Haha you rated your x4 as king of membranes.

Really? For typing king of membranes i will prefer IBM's keyboard.
X4 and X6 key caps is quite slippery, not enough friction.

No really type on X4 because but what i know X4 and X6 is having a quite tactile feedback keystroke, then think BW should be fine for you.

how to record macro using X6?

including typing and use of mouse
*
X6 got on-the-fly macro recording button, is very easy to record macro, but don't think can record mouse click or scroll.

anyone knows where to find sidewinder x6 in Lowyat Plaza?
and also the price..i just saw 1 only in Sri Comp/Thunder Match as it's only a display set..
*
I think X6 no long in production. If thundermatch is out of stock for X6 then should be very hard to get it in LYP already.

I sold mine 2 months ago lol.
If really can't get it then only way is get X4 instead.
If I not mistake X6 switch is more tactile compared to X4, good keyboard anyway but with 1 con, the key caps are too slippery and it's butterfly layout made me always made mistake in speed typing.

what do you mean by butterfly layout?
*
You can see that the sizes of X6's key caps around WASD and it's tab shift, and some button is different size with normal layout.
The most significant 1 i think is in usual keyboard layout ZAQ is about a straight left hand side incline line. For butterfly layout you can see the button Q is like totally align on top of the button A which i cant get use to it. I did this mistake many time when i wan stroke Q but i hit the tab as well.

Actually I feel like this layout got some different on whole row of QWERTY but cant say what's the problem .

Anyway I hate the esc button of X6 which in macro button column and the slippery keycaps.

No offend to Microsoft but they is quite lot of disadvantage for X6. on the good side, X6 really give tactile feedback, consider high end rubber dome keyboard which I think at least should be able to expect having 30Mil keystroke. The adjusting knob is nice. The design is nice. The on-the-fly macro record feature quite an advantage also.

noted,thx

Just get a cheap keyboard and use a usb to ps2 converter, it should can handle 7keys together.

Another way is don't use all 7 keys on same row.
Try qwe l;'

or

asd iop

its should work also, just hand not in same row a bit uncomfortable.

BW Ultimate  icon_idea.gif
I doubt it'll be cheap. Mech kb = expensive, backlighting = expensive.
so expensive + expensive = expensive2. Double the price  flex.gif

get rid of your G15 mang, worse keyboard I've ever used.
*
BW price most probably will only tag at 389 which is so cheap compare to other like 7G.
The currently mechanical keyboard with back lit i only know 2 model, but another price not as affordable as BW ultimate.
So BW should be the best choice, but i don't like MX Blue so sure not in my buy list.

btw, i went to take a look on the BW ady,
RM2xx for a mechanical...
it's price quite a overkill neh sweat.gif

p/s: my desktop pro is wearing out pretty soon. thinking to buy a non mechanical & is more onto silent kb <RM200. comments?
*
True, compare BW expert and Lycosa, lycosa just like rubbish, i think thats the reason Razer keep try selling off and sponsor lot lycosa in previous event like like teenfest.

probably it should be called the "Ducky Users Thread" instead. I told him off before, but he aiyohh. You know lah, the power of TS  flex.gif
*
Not really la, there are lot of links of other fair review as well.
Ducky just Moogle's own preference that he think it with reasonable price and it has corresponding good function also.

Another reason some people don like that thread should be he posted lot factual knowledgeable also but some are not really accepted by other.

there is other good membrane kb out there,
X4, Cyborg, Lycosa, SHIFT, Valo, Sabre, G110. All around RM200.
*
X4 and X6 are good keyboards, i believe this, the only bad thing is the layout and slippery key caps.

Shift don't know but sounds really good for MMO.

Valo? RM200? Really so cheap, last time i thought it was very expensive.

G110 good? Not really try it but prefer G510, performance should be bit better, what i like is G510's wrist rest.

nope, 3 brightness level + turn off.

off -> lowest -> medium -> highest -> den off again

So the best 1 still the X6, is brightness adjustment knob also.

valo is rm6xx, not 200+
yeap, this one. i myself is using the x6. typed nice. slippery keys yes, but i personally dont think its a problem.
whereas the layout, its entirely up to you, i'm not having any problems with it.
the only problem i would actually consider serious with x6. is the laggy volume knob.
and, the x6 is no where near silent type.
not sure bout the newer x4 though.

know you dont really prioritize the backlit, but just to let you know, x4's light is brighter than the x6.
*
Do you know why Valo so expensive?

True X6 key giving tactile feel like a MX Blue just not that heavy.

The layout is butterfly 1, should be good for some FPS player but not for me, i always did typo mistake at QWE ASD
X6 key made some noise but of cause not as noisy as BW (especially the space bar)

The thing about the Lycosa is not for the gaming specs... but more to aesthetics~
Sidewinder X4 gets my vote for the membrane category~  nod.gif
*
ya the lycosa just artistic, but no doubt it is 1 of the design i love the most.
If can made lycosa a mechanical keyboard wow pretty cool.

yea, if i hast the monies i would get the lycosa just to decorate my table.  tongue.gif
too bad i dont.  sad.gif
yea, but imo, i find that x6's backlight isnt bright enough since it isnt individual led backlit, so in my usage, its either off or maxed out.
*
for me, Lycosa is a so called gaming keyboard but i cant find any good feature on it.
Only word is, bling.

For me totally never off it before, always maximized the brightness.

tarantula user here.  biggrin.gif
have been using it over 2 years +. tongue.gif

Of cause quite long usage since now also no longer producing already.
Anyway cannot understand why Razer give up the tarantula and pushing the Lycosa sales.
Tarantula spec and performance much more better arctosa and lycosa.

Anyway, your tarantula is bundled with the battle light also?? The blue table lamp ^^
