Lowyaters(?), i need some advices on whether should i get a Razer mouse from the PCFair, and if so, what should i get?

I currently use a 1600dpi E-view Laser mouse that cost me somewhere Rm60. And i've been addicted to high DPI mouse since then. I am a casual FPS player that've been in Sudden Attack, Blackshot, and Modern Warfare 2 for a while. Does a great Razor mouse really makes a big difference between a cheap $15 800dpi mouse and or my current mouse?

(From what i heard, it only gives more precision, but i'm shooting at a fairly low sensitivity anyway.)

Also, is gaming dedicated mousepads a must for using Razer mouse?

And my current mouse have a polling rate that go up and down, reporting at anywhere between 150hz to 500hz, is that normal or abnormal? I heard that usually the polling rate should be stable.

Also - most importantly, if i should be getting Razer mouse, whats a good budget yet awesome mouse i could get at current PC Fair? I do not want to buy myself a mouse that could possibly cost more than a high end graphic card.

And finally, i'll need answer fast. PC Fair is going away tomorow.

Thanks in advance.

Edit:After googling for abit, can i get a comment on DeathAdder? And its malaysian price for the PC Fair that is close to Sedang?

Edit2: Seems like DeathAdder and some Razer mouse is Infrared instead of Laser. Will it matter? Because i've been using Laser for a while now because it works everywhere.

Edit3: And finally, is it worth it to buy a Razer? Does it really affect someone so much, or by all means, a normal-mediocre gamer have no use for it? (I dont exactly have the best response in the world, and i panic quite abit too.)

To answer your doubts, as far as the mouse you are gonna buy is comfortable. That's one of the most important of all aside of the specs of the mouse. Imho, the sensitivity does affect somehow

compared to your current mouse or any cap ayam mouse. And from what i read in this razer thread, razer DeathAdder does have good response. Or maybe you might wanna come down to PC fair to

try those mice, see which one u felt the most comfortable among all.

As for the mouse pads, it is not a must for using razer or any other brand mouse. But without the mouse pads, your mouse feet will exhaust faster cause of the friction between your mouse and the

table. And, razer mice wouldn't cost you more than a high end graphic card. You have to try on it then only you'll feel it. It's just my 2 cents.

Hope it helps. =) Happy getting a Razer mouse. ^.^

thin = mobile, isn't?
Still can't see what make a person buy kabuto instead of sphex or vice versa
*
From my pov, kabuto is mainly design more for mobility cause it also can be use as the laptop screen protector. And also it's a cloth pad compared to sphex. If that person uses laptop for gaming and

travels a lot.. I guess that makes him/her buy kabuto instead of sphex. And because sphex has Adhesive bottom to stick on any surface. Therefore, when you bring sphex out.. It's a bit "memafankan"

because i think it's design to stick on desktop tables more permanently then mobility. Just my thoughts. =)

Either you cant read or you intend to show your intelligence biggrin.gif
Other than that occasion, I wonder if u can walk in2 their office and purchase or claim RMA?

Most forumer here had issues with BL telling them 2 go 2 the respective seller/shop b4 asking BL for RMA lolz.

Anyway, cant wait for Orca and BlackWidow to touch down soon..
*
Well, if you purchased any Razer from PC fair meaning is directly from BL. So, I think you won't have problems claiming warranty because it's directly from them. Even the receipts is directly from BL.

The issues you mentioned is because the forumers did not purchase direct from BL, and it's thru 3rd party. Hence, BL told them to go back to where the Razer product was purchased. Common sense

thinking, if you bought directly from BL and you wanna claim warranty, if not direct to BL then to who you wanna claim?

I might be wrong. But I don't so. laugh.gif

The Razer Sound card you are referring is Razer Barracuda AC-1. It has been discontinued quite some time already.

@TechnoG, That's not a dvi port on the Barracuda. That port is for you to connect the Barracuda headset.

You saw the 2 red circle? If you have the Barracuda AC-1. You can directly plug the headset w/o the converter. It's call HD-DAI or something like that. Can't remember. Looks like dvi port.

Last year's December PC fair was selling at RM899 la. The one RM969 was the most recent PC fair or probably early this year. I'm one of the 1st few people who bought mako last year. That price with no free gifts. sad.gif

If you buy from PC fair means it's directly from Ban Leong, iirc. Cause last I bought my mako, and receipt given is from Ban Leong.
