mamba jst arrive..the z axis prob is really noticeable..but can live with it coz as soon as i put it down i push up back as its really the reason why i even lift it up..no jitters on taito..the lift click seems fragile..was expecting a click dats like the iphones home button(too much to ask for xP)..the box, OMG how much am i paying for it ==..and i got it paired with only 1 try..side buttons are a placed perfectly but the back button is a little to behind for me to click comfortably..click wheel is jst awesome..this is just first impressions for me

nw that you mention it, its actually quite easy to click..one thing, the mouse's weight its jst superb..not too heavy, nt too light but i dun like the fact that its nt easy to lift coz u wont haf a lasting grip..and the clicks are a lil too soft for my liking and this, THE Z AXIS DOES AFFECT me while im gaming its like im playing in a chaotic way but still managed to scored a headshot as my first game click xD i'll get used to it, no worries..but i haf to say this. the braided chord is too thick for my apuri but it does fit coz the apuri is rubber though i dun like the fact that the chord is quite heavy. damn! its so beautiful, 3 blue lighted peripherals on my desk, the mamba dock, apuri and my speaker's volume controller..so beautiful ..

okay guys, here's my short review(pun intended) of the mamba
The packaging is a well 5/5 as the materials aren't just those cheapskate materials if you know what i mean. Everything is thought out with detail. It took me less than 20 seconds to take the acrylic cover off which I don't know why you people make so much fuss about. Throughout the packaging there's only one thing I do not like; the braided cable. This is due to the fact that it's bended thanks to the way the pack it but it doesn't bother me. Back to the mouse and battery. The mouse itself is an art with the level of details Razer has put into it. The seams, the lights on the dock and the mouse itself, even the clickwheel its so beautiful. It fits my hand comfortably, more comfortable than any mouse I've ever use, be it china or some branded but non-ergonomics oriented mouse and the rubber coating seems to have quality to it(I hope so). When i showed it to my younger brother, he said the mouse was bloody big, which fits my palm as I have a large palm and that was important so that I can use it properly and comfortably. The buttons; I thought the main two buttons would give a whole feeling like the iPhone's home button, but no it kind of gave me a fragile and 'plastic-ky' feeling. Even the DPI change buttons felt better, but that's because its smaller, I guess... The side buttons are very easy to click but of course not that easy that you'll be able to click it unintentionally. They're tactile and placed strategically so that you'll be able to click it effortlessly be it the forward or backwards, it's the same, only depending on how do you want to press it. Some may complain that there isn't a little finger rest, but I don't find the need for it as I'm used to dragging it along because it also acts like the tail of a monkey providing extra control and precision. The buttons at the back of the mouse are as they are, no cons nor pros because well, they work as they are. Moving on from the buttons department to the underside. Based on what I've read from reviews and user opinions about how fast you can go from wired to wireless, it is true that you can't remove it quickly cause it's snugged in tightly when you're in wired mode which is good because it ensures that you wire won't come out while you're half way sentencing some noobs to headshots but this comes with a disadvantage. Being locked in tightly, you need force to remove the wire to enable wireless mode so my advice is to turn it off prior to removing the chord and this is why you can't change modes easily. The wireless feature is just awesome, no delays (1ms ultrapolling might be a gimmick which I don't care as even with Microsoft's wireless mouse it still doesn't lag at all) at all. Pairing is a breeze, press once on the dock and once on the mouse, voila~ you're ready to go. The battery is awesome as it lasted me a whole day and being a Li-po battery, you can literally charge it whenever you want but of course, over the charge cycles you'll begin to loose the ability to retain a full 100% charge which is common with ALL rechargeable batteries. Also the weight is just nice as I prefer heavy mouse as it gives me more control thus more precision. The Z-axis problem. This is something new to me as I've never experienced to me but it's normal as when you lift any mouse, naturally there'd be some movement right? (unless you're some perfectionist that wants to lift it perfectly vertically..swt..)and naturally, you'll get used to it so don't worry. I don't want to talk about the driver and firmware as I don't use it except for DPI adjustments.
My rating = 9/10 -1 due to the Z-axis issue* (you'll get used to it real soon)

QUOTE(CoolBoy89 @ Nov 10 2010, 03:32 PM) LOL ur mum tried it ? I bet my mum never knew i actually bought a gaming mouse. Sure she cant spot any difference with the previous cheapo A4tech mouse QUOTE(Lil Kiasu @ Nov 10 2010, 04:23 PM) I shall wait till next year's PC Fair to get it then~ current budget reserved for Black Widow unless someone wants to get my SS and Roccat bundle~ Added on November 10, 2010, 4:24 pmwell... it may be to some 'older generations' who don't appreciate those extras... but as long as it provides a better gaming experience, I don't really mind with it~ well...she paid half and she knows im buyng though my gf doesnt knw i bought xD and she doesnt really like the buttons coz the are placed where they shld be (for us) but for her, kacau nia coz easily pressed accidentally..true i dun mind, the mamba's great i mean, literally. ..but bw idk la..coz imma in a dilemma..mobile broadband/phone or bw..
