From the price at Razer's store, it should retail at around RM180 here in Malaysia, similar to the Megasoma.

Mousepad would help but it wouldn't solve the problem completely. Regular cleaning of your table/mousepad is recommended. Anyway, you are using a table only at the moment is it? If that's the case, a mousepad is recommended as well because it can help to preserve the mouse feets longer.

Luckily the scroll wheel on the DA is lighted up so even when it turns yellow, can't really see it unless the mouse is not plugged in.

I think it would be nice if there's light there. Reason is because some people prefer to have some bling-bling there. The light can easily be turned off via the Razer driver software as how it is for the DeathAdder.
