I believe that if your purchase is from other shop, if you were to bought your item from moderno, then no fee will be charged. If you don't want to pay, send your faulty item and ask the place you bought em to claim it for u... rclxms.gif

Its a practice that have been done by all dealers from Lowyat Plaza and other computer shops that spans from Kangar to Kota Kinabalu...

Yes provided if you bring to PLAY Interactive directly. Otherwise, if you bring to another retailer/dealer say ModernoPC, you will usually be charged a handling fee (fee is not charged by PLAY Interactive but by the retailer/dealer themselves).

Thanks for the info.

Since Play Interactive already give the assurance they will provide 1 year warranty for all SS stuff distribute by Inter-Asia without any condition and any charges, i feel safe to buy Ikari fr Inter-Asia now rclxms.gif

Just wondering why Play Interactive keep changing what they promise to us sad.gif
At 1st they say free of charge for the warranty claim now they change their mind and want to charge RM30?
As a SS loyal fan, i think we shud boycott SS product from now cause the principal always change their word sad.gif & this is very unfair to end user like me sad.gif

Hi 7Eleven,

Well first of all, I would suggest that you read the press release once again. From TODAY onwards, yes we will charge a surcharge of RM30 per item for any SS products that are purchased from those retailers which are NOT under our official distribution list. So if your concern would be that you will be charged for a RM30 surcharge just because you bought it from some retailers previously dated before the 15th of November 2010, provided with a valid receipt, yes I can assure you that the warranty issue is no issue. This is our way at PLAY Interactive to provide SS fans and enthusiasts protection or valid warranty from the distributor itself should you purchased any SS products that might be defect items and should not know where to seek RMA services from.

I hope this would answer your curiosity. And of course we do hope that you as a SS loyal fan, would not boycott SS products from now on as for your actions would definitely bring negative influence to other SS users out there.

Should you have further queries please do not hesitate to drop us an email.

Thanks!

It is funny, all the stock are fr SS and the new distro shud take care of the warranty issue since they take over the distribution right.
As a user, how can i differentiate the stock fr Inter-Asia or Playinteractive, if i don't browse this forum??? got feeling like con by SS & PlayInteractive, they keep changing their policy sad.gif
I will email the SS HQ to question them why the new distro giving so low quality after sale service. mad.gif

Mind you, we are not charging you like shit, should you need hassle free RMA services, you may always purchase SS products from our official retailers and this is our way of protecting all of you SteelSeries fans throughout Malaysia in terms of purchasing SS products under our distribution as the exclusive distributor with valid warranty and reduce the risk of purchasing any defect items in the market.

We hope that you TechnoG and all the SteelSeries fans would understand this policy and continue supporting SS in the future.

Thank you.

No worries upon how you differentiate the stock from Inter-Asia or PLAY Interactive. ALL our SteelSeries stocks distributed by PLAY Interactive would have our PLAY Interactive's sticker/logo as shown below.

As for your concern of someone who doesn't browse this forum, no worries about that as well, as for we will be sending the hard copy of press release to our official press releases as a prove.

You may always send an email to the SS HQ for inquiries, as for the decision was approved by the SS HQ as well.

Thank you.

Have a nice day ahead.

So indirectly the new policy states that if u buy any products from inter-asia u have to pay play interactive rm30 so they can process the warranty claim...
guess more politics involved again...
*
haha....
PlayInteractive will say "It look like politics, sound like politics but it is not politics" nod.gif

For warranty

1st
"No, we will not take care"

2nd
"Yes, u can send to us - FOC"

3rd
"Start fr 15th Nov 2010 we change our policy, we will charge Rm30"

4th
"Your items not from me, no warranty"

5th
"U sure u send the item to us, no record??"

Why they can't keep their promise mad.gif I really don't know whether i should buy SS stuff now or switch to Razer or Roccat

Please advise
