oh, really. thats mean V2>5Hv2 or 5Hv2>V2. so if i choose V2, need to buy that come with usb sound card or just headphone it self just nice? coz the promotion really make me drool.gif but im on kinda tight budget rite now.

wanna use it for purely FPS pc games, or maybe on psp games also. biggrin.gif

need a best bang for buck. thanks.
*
For pure FPS you can opt for the 5Hv2. Since you mentioned best bang for your bucks then I would the Siberia V2 as it is pretty much an all-rounder. Music on the 5Hv2 is bad compared to the Siberia V2. USB or not it is all up to you, if you are really budget tight at the moment that get without the USB soundcard first. When you have enough funds in the future, get yourself a decent soundcard for your computer. biggrin.gif

im not a music kinda guy. tongue.gif based on you guys opinion, i guess will end up buying 5Hv2. btw, got two version out there. 5Hv2 = Rm229 while 5Hv2 USB = Rm269. So which one is better? coz it seem USB on 5Hv2 is different than those USB on siberia. why ya?

oh 1 more thing. the USB produce virtual 7.1 channel rite? if i didnt use the USB then the sound is just 2.1 channnel?

thanks in advance. =)
*
Actually for the price difference, I'd get the USB version and if you don't want the soundcard, you can always sell it off. biggrin.gif

Yes it produces virtual 7.1 surround sound which I'm confident to say that you will hardly or possibly never touch it at all. The USB soundcard is only good for maintaining the same audio quality no matter where you go in my opinion.

I go through the new policy again, is that means any purchase before 15th of November 2010 is totally not affected?

If out SS products having any problem, just sent to Playinteractive office will do right?
*
Can also pass it to dealers under PLAY Interactive but some charges may be applied by the dealers as well.

QUOTE(Lacus @ Nov 16 2010, 10:46 AM)
well i personally find it unfair, it's like sending to shops we bought after a year then getting charge RM30-50 depending on items. First of all not everyone are able to get it from retailers depending on locations doh.gif. thats really absurd for charging. whats the main reason? what does the RM30 do? if 1 to 1 exchange for warranty claim and get charge then it's fine. if just warranty claim, it's pretty pointless.
*
QUOTE(Lacus @ Nov 16 2010, 10:56 AM)
well i do send stuff to warranty (all sort of brands) and i dislike hassles and charges like this doh.gif. it's pretty lame you know, if i get a SS keyboard or mouse from a forumer, with no receipt=each time i claim warranty,RM30. yeah, thats why the ruling is unfair. Imagine the device has issues (like someones 7h or was that a keyboard,so each time send warranty, get charged and wait? doh.gif
*
If your SteelSeries product(s) is bought before the date of the press release, you won't be charged anything for warranty claims (unless you send it to a retailer and the retailer charges a handling fee which is not by PLAY Interactive). However, if your SteelSeries product(s) is bought after the date of the press release and it is not under PLAY Interactive's distribution then yes you will be charged RM30 for warranty claims (not including handling fees from retailers if you send it to retailers).

About the handling fee from retailers, that will only be charged if your product(s) is not bought from that particular retailer of course.

chey :| why no one mentioned about this earlier  doh.gif
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

but it's kinda funny why does Play Interactive want's to charge RM30 after the date of press release when they know they're the sole distributor and no one is selling SS products except for them?

I know handling fee is being charged separately.
*
PLAY Interactive did clarify it in one of their post though, direct link to it here.

QUOTE(Lacus @ Nov 16 2010, 11:44 AM)
hmm,so technically send thru shops? how? as i know shops for sure charge RM30-50 di sweat.gif and so double charges? i mean after the press release date of coz, and also not everyone reads forums and etc. And i'm sure some shops over LYP still has old stock smile.gif
*
No, I mean if it is not convenient for you to send it straight to PLAY Interactive's office then no choice but to send it to the shops/retailers but they will mostly charge a handling fee like you've said. If your SteelSeries product(s) is purchased before the date of the press release was issued and you send it straight to the PLAY Interactive office then you won't be charged any fee.

Like what PLAY Interactive mentioned earlier, the press releases will be issued to the retailers, they said they will try to release it to all the previous retailers as well. So now it is up to the previous retailers if they want to be honest to their customers or not because from now on, any SteelSeries product(s) that are purchased from retailers not under PLAY Interactive after the date of the press release will be charged RM30 for warranty claims.

This is just sad news for some ss fans, my siberia was bought on like july, 7G was like on august, so i can claim warranty for free right? Bought for modernopc, both of them , and both of them are inter-asia units
*
Yes, since it is before 15th of November 2010, no fee will be charged (not sure if ModernoPC will be charging anything but most likely not).

as u know, we are in malaysia - the land of the great pirates biggrin.gif

wat happens if a dealer with old inter-asia stock decides to stick a play interactive sticker on the box?
*
You mean the dealers that are currently under PLAY Interactive or you're talking about the previous dealers under Inter-Asia? hmm.gif

lets say - current dealer who buys cheap from inter-asia today and sticks on a pirated play interactive sticker on it biggrin.gif
but anyway...dont think i'll be buying any equipment for awhile anyway...nothing from SS interests me now...
next step is to upgrade my PC in june 2011 before BF3 comes out tongue.gif
*
Well, then that's hard to say (regarding the pirated stickers, all up to the dealers/retailers to be honest) but I think Inter-Asia already running out of stocks for their hot items (e.g. 7G, Siberia etc). Also, getting directly from PLAY Interactive would be better for the dealers/retailers.

what Everdying meant is that WHAT IF those IT Hypermarket like C-Zone, ALLIT, Viewnet etc still selling Inter-Asia's stocks? I swear I didn't see the Play Interactive stickers when I went to Viewnet yesterday to purchase some stuff for my rig.

Added on November 16, 2010, 3:43 pm
this make sense.

probably Play-Interactive approach those online retailers and get their support first.
*
If I'm not wrong, what he meant was those current dealers go sapu Inter-Asia stocks at cheap rates and then stick a PLAY Interactive sticker on it to make it look like the stocks were from PLAY Interactive.

Anyway seems like Inter-Asia won't do so since they almost cleared most of their SS stock.
If they really do so to clear the small portion of stock is trying to damaging their reputation, from some perspective not really worth it.
And also giving bad impression to other brands those Inter-Asia still distributing.
*
I think everyone got the wrong message. What my sentence actually meant are those current new dealers buying up whatever Inter-Asia is clearing (so technically it's from Inter-Asia). And then they resell it back out and what Everdying was saying is some dealers might just make pirated stickers to stick on it.

Just wondering, how they know Inter-Asia stock level?
FYI, we still got tons of stock due to the respond of SS in Malaysia so so only sad.gif
*
Never said that Inter-Asia stocks running low or what, I just said those hot items like the 7G keyboard out of stocks since that is what many of the forum members interested in buying reported in this topic. doh.gif

Yeap I believe they will.

just my 2 cents.

but im not sure if they will make only 1 or not. if only 1 it might be quite expensive. normally done in bulk.
*
Just that if ever SteelSeries were made aware of this, there might be some legal issues for using their name and logo without authorization. sweat.gif

Stay tuned for more updates for the Kinzu specs!

And here you go, WHITE Kinzu shall be in stock approximately next week or two!

The White Kinzu is stunning to me. Would probably go well with a Siberia White. biggrin.gif

On the box it's written Gaming Grade Optical. Probably an enhanced optical sensor, need to check out the full specs.

Surely everyone would love to see some improvements made on SS Kinzus' and here we've got it!

White Kinzu:

1) Glossy outlook which I know fits perfectly either with your Siberia Red or White when you go for a tournament!  icon_idea.gif

2) Improvement on Kinzu feet/glide which are made of the highest grade of Teflon.

Red Kinzu Pro Edition

1) Glossy outlook which I know fits perfectly either with your Siberia Red or White when you go for a tournament!

2) Improvement on Kinzu feet/glide which are made of the highest grade of Teflon.

3) The Red Kinzu Pro Edition switches are made of JAPAN OMRON which are no doubt one of the best switch in terms of quality as compared to 'other' gaming peripherals which are made of CHINA omron switches.

More details for Red Kinzu following up! Stay tuned!
