Anyone using Finance app by Google Inc? How do I configure it to look at KLSE instead of Dow Jones market?

Root wont, flash would. People tend to misunderstand the concept of rooting. Rooting only gives you superuser permission to your phone, it does not do anything else. By rooting, it allow you to flash a new operating system (Eclair to Froyo), even though to original Froyo for SEA HTC Desire units isnt available yet.

Only during flashing, you'd lose your data. You can backup all data (incl. SMS, MMS, Contacts, Photos, Scene settings, etc) with Titanium Backup, downloadable from Market.

I bought it for RM95 from a forumer name, leonlaitl. Then, yeokeeyie who was here recommended another cheaper one, RM80 from ebiz2u.

Vanilla UI? Honestly, I have no idea what it means. I just assume it's a less interactive UI compared to Sense UI. I have not tried Modaco, Cynanogen and OpenDesire. OpenDesire dont update very often so I am somewhat skeptical. Others not in the xda forum also I have not tried (Modaco?).

I have not received the card yet. Still with pos laju!

I dont think brand matters much but the Class 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 determines the speed. Class 10 is fastest, Class 2 being the slowest (I still cannot believe Maxis provided 2GB Class 2!) Some say the speed dont play much of a role and some say otherwise. I think it does. I have installed so many things on my phone that I've used up the entire 2GB. I installed quite a few games from Gameloft and game data usually takes up 100MB++. When I play RPG game, Zenonia, some times it will lag causing me to die and lose EXP! When I launch the ALL PROGRAMS menu, the icons shows up batch by batch. I just hope Class 10 will help me solve all these.

Not downloadable from XDA, is it? Do we need to pay?

I have not tried this but I tested another which uses Gmail protocol to send voice recorded but trial limitation only can add 2 friends. I forgot the name of the app though.

By the way, I check Facebook quite regularly from Desire. Some times, my friends posted video which I cannot watch. What media player so you use to watch video posted in Facebook?
