I had succesfully created an ext partition. Thanks a lot bro Draco for your advice. Now, I have another question, how do I verify that the apps are installed in the SDCard?
*
Lucky you.. I had some more serious issue with CWM (or was it my issue?)

Anyway, will wait for the official Froyo OTA for now (if there's ever one)

What application / step need to to restore all call history, sms, apps + setting if I flash to another ROM? Titanium Backup?

Sorry for asking simple question, my Android experience only 5 days.
*
Yes, Titanium Backup can do that for you

it loads ok for me...using stock or rooted stock or custom ROM?

Which version of FB are you using?

This problem only occurs for 1.3... Anyway, isn't a major issue for me

I am using stock 2.1 now

So people, I have rooted again! AmonRA recovery seems to be working fine (and not corrupted yet) as opposed to my unfortunate experience with Clockwork

Now tell me, which ROM is the best brows.gif Paul's ROM?

I'm running the earlier version of rooted official ROM again, just too lazy to wait for Paul one as the download wasn't fast (and I assume they are similar since both aren't much modded except excluding new hboot and including busybox?)

After juggling between 2.1 and 2.2 in these two days, I find 2.2 is much more energy efficient... no technical proof on this but just what I feel. Of course, it is comparatively faster too. Just too hard to resist froyo

Facebook 1.3 issue also appears to be fixed after using froyo

Can't find the apps bro.
*
Try Mod install location instead (they don't stick together)

But I find SDMove safer... It only moves those apps that natively support froyo a2sd to SD card

Wondering how to remove apps. hmm.gif

I use this guide
http://android.modaco.com/content/htc-desi...adb-in-windows/

Should be pretty straightforward as you already installed those Android SDK drivers before while rooting. If you are wondering where to get the adb-windows.exe, I downloaded it here: http://www.multiupload.com/RWIG0RHSHS

Just to share my simple "Utility" screen configuration, captured using ShootMe as akachester recommended it, I think it's better than drocap2!

It looks so pale on LCD screen compare to AMOLED

Ever since I have done a few rooting / ROM flashing (or maybe that's not the reason), but battery doesn't fully charge anymore. Will be doing bump charge and wipe battery stats to re-calibrate (as suggested by cleave)

Probably an undervolted / underclocked ROM, which means you would lose some speed for that

Actually 500mb is enough but i'm at college and the internet sucks. wifi and lan cable is so damn slow, they blocked almost everything; made me use the tethering mode. and the speed is amazing i could say, so i download the ROMS and some of my animes using that. thats why its not enough for me. i would stay with 500mb if possible but its not.
Yup, mine is amoled! Yeah!  thumbup.gif  rclxm9.gif
*
amoled becomes a rare item recently huh? sweat.gif Even Pantech is refused by Samsung to provide Amoled screen

QUOTE(CKHong @ Aug 5 2010, 10:15 PM)
Hi..  question.. is it the only way to see the hboot version is by reboot the phone then press back button? Any other way to check the version?
Another thing is..  once I settle rooting by using unrevoked method..  then when I wanna go back to the original Rom..  I go download it from xda forum..  how do I go back? Do I need to unroot back? Got unroot one kah?
After I root it,  will my hboot version remain 0.80 or become 0.92???
Wanna know more before I started to root :-)
*
You can see the version in the first boot screen (the white screen)

Rooting your phone won't change your hboot version. The only way to get hboot 0.92 (which is undesired for custom ROM flashers) is to upgrade to Desire to Froyo by OTA

Doing it now. Hopefully it will sad.gif But its already 10minutes now, and still red LED sad.gif
*
I'm doing the same thing now - it should take 30-60 minutes to become green and your battery will be good to go

EDIT: Even it goes green before 30 minutes, just leave it charging for a bit longer

How is OpenDesire? 3.04?

Been hesitant to try it since it's not using Sense UI - but I heard it's very good (although everyone says their ROM is superfast, super stable, superrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr but end up still got bugs)

ehhh... sounds like danger...
will i get USB Bricked if i use unrevoked method ??
or whenever we root our phone, it will have % that it will get usb brick??
i read the link u gave, not reli understand..
it stated some doesn't have this problem.. but till they flash 10 time like that, then they got usb brick...
danger eh ~~~ thanks for informing me !  sad.gif  then shud i root o not now  cry.gif
*
Rooting is never risk free, but I think the chance of getting USB brick is quite low. If you make sure you follow all the steps in the unrevoked method, it should be fine

In any case, your phone is still under warranty
