don get me wrong... i don use custom ROMs at all... only custom recovery... brows.gif

in term of looks, I was playing around with the root files searching for default icons and configurations and stuff like tat until i updated to official Froyo with 0.92 hboot... doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif
bottomline: i customize my phone my way... not any other... icon_idea.gif

initially i root for the sake of changing the boot screen and sound only... tongue.gif

wait for new unrevoked method if u have hboot 0.92... if u have 0.80 juz use the current unrevoked...

but only do it if u need to access the root to do certain things that u know and confident that u can... else juz stick to the official version... there are tons of apps out there which are more than enough to tweak ur phone's look... icon_rolleyes.gif

Successfully downgraded my hboot from 0.92 to 0.80... did a nandroid restore and installed rooted froyo 2.2 + clockwork recovery.... thumbup.gif

i don really like the idea of flashing and flashing my ROM and keep on have to restore back lost settings and apps... prefer to customize my own ROM manually... laugh.gif

I have a question, for the 1st time since I bought my Desire I actually managed to crash it and made it restart for the very 1st time.

What I did:

Open up camera, switch to video mode, use mpeg4 encoding + 720p reso, start capture, shake the phone from left to right and back to left repeatedly very fast and then it hanged. Anybody else experienced this? laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Ok... managed to find the culprit... it seems that when I did a nandroid system recovery, my radio was reverted to old version... hmm.gif

no problems found after upgraded Radio ROM... hmm.gif

I don't think there's anything else that would downgrade my radio cuz i did install the latest radio when downgrading the Hboot... hmm.gif

nothing else besides Nandroid tat is... hmm.gif
