Lexus simply doesn't have the kind of history compared to Audi, Jaguar, Mercedes Benz or BMW.

It is a luxury car, but you need to know why people prefer to German rather than Japanese.

Lexus has great refinement and quality, but......some people say, where is the soul?

If u have lots of money, why would u want to buy something that is made in Japan or Korea? Even loaded Japanese or Korean drive German or Italian marques.

If you look in Malaysia, Toyota Harrier (well.......it is Lexus IS past generation) is selling well (in grey market).

However, you need to know that Lexus has only two showrooms in Malaysia.

Lexus has showrooms in Mutiara Damansara and Penang.

A Lexus is STILL a Toyota.

Same goes for Infinity which is a Nissan in the US.

When u earn RM 50k to 100k per month, u WILL NOT touch these cars. In fact, u will despise or curse them.

well... if u drive a Jaguar cost u 500K.... da girls look at u like u r da super star.... if u drive a Lexus cost u 500K....da girl tot unker sit inside / tot u r jus driver for some1....

thanks to malaysia taxation, we perceived ppl lowest entry car as "middle" class or "high" class car. Im from seremban myself find it damn ridiculous when hearing my frenz said "those who driving camry must be very rich", what a joke 

Audi & Volkswagon are BMW and Merc stiff competitor nowadays. infact Merc sales decline compared to BMW

To me those who driving camry/accord is "well-off", actually the way my frenz described is like those fellows are filthy rich, "blow water" till like multi-millionaire.....

Camry is not a luxury car. Mondeo, Accord are not luxury car too.

However at that price, i would opt for Mondeo because it is European.

not only bmw and merc are popular...audi and Volkswagen also popular   just more people like BMW and mercs

few weeks ago i drive my mom's bmw(above model) to college. and all sudden the most hot/popular girl who barely have spoken to me b4 says hi to me and act like already long time friend with me and straight away went into the car. then i take her makan...feels good man   ade kereta ada amoi !

That one is a supercar... definately not luxury or comfortable. For those with money, it is a weekend toy.

Next are Merc, BMW, Audi, Lexus & VW. Mostly used by businessmen as company cars.

Later, u have Nissan GTR, Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Mustang & other sports coupe as weekend toy cars.

For common working class people, they drive Toyota Camry, Honda Accord & Lexus LX/RX.

Not many Ferrari or Lambo here due to bad roads.

Forgot to add. Hummer H2 also plenty and many are souped or pimped. The car is cheap to begin with. Starts at USD 60k and mods alone can cost USD 100k.

My personal favourite is the Toyota Tundra especially the pimped up ones... huge ass truck (as big as the Inokom AU26 lorry) with 26" rims and lots of chrome, leather and insane ICE to back it up.
