okay,i wanna buy either a PS3,Xbox 360 or a Wii~
thing is,i dont know which one to pick~
here's a list of things i want to have in a console~
1.Watch Videos With Ease
2.USB support so i can use my flash drive to transfer files
3.Good HDD space,Internal/External/Changeable doesnt matter
4.Online Capability (I Wont Be Using It For Facebook or Chatting,Just For Games)

frankly,i dont care which console has better/sharper graphics or anything~
price isnt an issue since im only buying ONE console

Everybody knows I'm not fanboy of anything, so the choice would be Sony PS3 with all the stuff you needed built in.

I will give an honest opinion, the Wii without Homebrew is not exactly the best media machine however it is still a brilliant gaming machine with several AAA games on it. The Wii with Homebrew in my opinion is a pain in the ass mainly because you need some skill to upgrade the Homebrew to counter Nintendo's war against it however if you are patient and learn the tricks I think Homebrew and the Wii is a good combination. The hard disk on the Wii cannot be exchanged but it does have slots for SD cards. As for the online capability of the Wii all I can say it works well enough. I played Modern Warfare Reflex and Conduit with no problem at all and there is also WiiSpeak so that means you can talk to your friends. The major downside is the Wii FriendCode system which becomes a pain as you get more games and more friends but once again all you need is a little skill and patience and you can remedy this. Also Wii's online game service is free.

The PS3 is a good bet when it comes to a media device and a gaming machine. Great games and free online gameplay is also a plus. The PS3 uses interchangeable hard drives so it easy to switch to another HD. The PS3 also has a great online component. As for USB support I have a standard WD hard drive attached to it and I can view all my videos on the PS3.

The XBox 360 is also a great gaming machine and media device though the online is not free but in my mind its a good investment. The 360 also has some great games though its hard drive is proprietary and cannot be exchanged and USB support (i think)is also wide just like the PS3's.

So three consoles, whatever you choose you wont lose. nod.gif

i suggest you go view the game titles you prefer to play... some games are exclusive to 360.. and some are for PS3.... That way it helps for u to make a better decision...

it depends on the content i think, which games are you after or you normally play?

i have always used playstation for gaming but do enjoy some games on the xbox. My brother has xbox so we have basically both systems. We switch between the two depending on the game that we wanna play.

Some titles are exclusives so they only come out for one console. But most popular games are nowadays available on both.

Internet gaming is ,hard for me to admit, but works better on xbox 360. It is more smooth somehow and easier to connect. But you will have to pay for it, i guess that explains why it is so good. PS3's online service is free but a little sluggish and the online store isn;t actually that appealing to me.

In terms of performance , again graphics is better on xbox(from my eyes) but ps3 capabilities has its advantages thanks to its 7 core CPU that will enable more things happening in the game.

PS3 and XBOx actually has about the same capabilities. I use to prefer the ps3 more since i could install linux on it, but sony disabled that. so that sucks.

design wise, xbox is childish, ps3 is classy. The xboxslim is somewhat better looking as most people say i guess. But also take note that xbox is lauching its natal project, known as Kinect in November.

Kineckt uses a camera and allow you to play games without using controllers. I guess that is interesting. Old technology improved, it reminds me of the games you play when we purchased our webcams 10 years back!haha. but with face recognition and other impressive modes i guess it is worth a look. an advanced nintendo wii without the nun chuks and the lot.

what ever your decision make sure you look at the content you prefer. Browse the games you wanna play and settle with the best system that can deliver those contents, and you will be satisfied.easy peasy, lemons squeezy!

My advice is;

- check your budget
- check your needs (online features? Integration with social site? Built-in web-browser? Etc)
- build a list of games you wan to play, then check on which consoles are those games available on. Certain games are available on more than 1 platform

To me, it all depends on what games you wish to play; It's a gaming console, so obviously the software will play an important part.

Search around, check their features, read news and forum post to learn about real experience, see if you like it. You can also visit shops and try your hand on the games before buying.

In the end, its your choice, so have fun icon_rolleyes.gif
