i would advise those interested to update to hold back 1st
the new features are quite buggy, and it also consumes more ram than the previous version

but of course, if you like to try new things, you can go ahead....

any train/lrt lines available, my place here don't have such thing, can't enable them
is the check in feature same as the share my location feature back in .03 and .04, didn't use them back then

their beta labs site who handles feedback for 3.06 didn't respond to the bugs reported since 14 Sept (launch date - that day itself, yes) until now,

compared to swype beta who promptly respond to the user feedback with a promise of upgrade

What will happen after a hard reset? Are the installed applications like GMXT will be removed?

Go to search 3rd party patch application to turn off the camera snapping sound.

Have converted back to Ovi Maps v3.04 from v3.06 (beta) using steps below, and yes it is working.

Try the following :
+ mobile phone
Open program manager
- uninstall Ovi Maps
- uninstall Nokia Maps
Open file manager ( root directory memory card )
- delete folder cities (PS: i did not delete 3 .ttf files in this folder bcoz i believe they are there already in 3.04)
- delete file qf
Restart the phone
- install Ovi Maps 3.04
- start Ovi Maps 3.04 - be patient
- finish Ovi Maps 3.04
+ personal computer
- connect mobile to pc
- download maps using OviSuite or MapLoader
