u got point.. but I doubt mall without control by management would perform well.. look at 1 shamelins, for example.. dying badly even supermarket has also closed down and the entire mall still suffers from very low occupancy rate doh.gif

actually that area might be the best/worst place to have a mall.

there isn't any modern malls along fed hiway.
sunway pyramid and paradigm are nearby but not along fed hiway.
the old cold storage now courts & giant near hilton is past it's glory days.
across the road after armada was built over the old mall it has never recovered.
amcorp is along fed hiway but it is rather dead, road access and parking is crazy.
i remember when i was a kid there wasn't much malls/complexes unless go all the way to kl.
usually only go here or pj new town for the cinema.
so if they do build a mall like klcc/paradigm which adds lotsa access roads and parking it could do well.

but as far as hotels go there really isn't much attraction/purpose for that area to have a hotel.
especially since there is a huge one that has almost entirely eclipsed armada which should be opening soon.
for holiday goers they'd probably prefer sunway resort or pyramid tower due to the themepark.

Mid Valley is located along federal highway.. although it's looks ageing from the outside and inside tongue.gif
