Able to get max speed of 160 KBps and constant average of 120-140 KBps @ 1mbps in torrent
Direct download depends on international routing. If routing not good, I use vpn which can max up to 210 KBps and constant average 190-198 KBps ![]() |

QUOTE(yuna90 @ Aug 2 2010, 02:40 PM) there are 4 connections; bolehroute, public-tracker, private-tracker and streaming.you can use all (except streaming) for better download, but have to run one mode This post has been edited by soundsyst64: Aug 2 2010, 02:43 PM |

QUOTE(altimi @ Aug 3 2010, 11:04 AM) Maybe we rename the file to *.tmnuthazphailedthrottlingme, or *.tryhardernexttimetmnut, or any extension to curse tmnut This post has been edited by soundsyst64: Aug 3 2010, 11:14 AM |

I'm pretty sure they'll filter/block the website/content that host locally.

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Aug 6 2010, 12:25 AM) After nearly 2 weeks of throttling and observation, what I think should do is: it depends on certain locations. tm throttle this area, and others not.PPS = BAN. Torrent/P2P = Throttle from 9am-5pm. DDL = NO THROTTLE 24/7 Streaming = NO THROTTLE 24/7 If TM does this, it is good for both sides. They get to save bandwidth and they don't piss people off to no end. After all, the root of the problem is PPS. for me, DDL from Luxembourg server is still a major problem because of tmnut's bad routing. i'm hoping tmnut ban PPS forever. Added on August 6, 2010, 5:20 am QUOTE(rainbow6 @ Aug 5 2010, 08:51 PM) To be fair to everyone, p2p (be it bittorrent, pps, emule) is not healthy for the ISP. Without control, you can bring an entire network to a standstill, especially if you have only 10GBit backbones to support a million users. japan can provide cheap, ultra-fast internet to it's people despite their complicated geographical. why mareshia with less complicated geographic can't provide that? During my early days, my p2p testing brought an entire data center to a stop. Not even DNS can be resolved and all access to 3000 websites hosted in that data center are no longer reachable and the network engineer asks me why are there so many trying ddos my server. Bittorent was new then and cisco has no clue what's hitting their equipment. IF I'm TM i be screaming too if I have 800,000 users screaming at me to satisfy the other 200,000. I would rather lose the 200,000 users than lose my pants when the 800,000 go to other ISPs. What will you do if you are TM? Instead of telling and saying who at fault, maybe suggesting ways to compromise is a much better approach. Actually the 800,000 paying customers is subsidizing the other 20%. As an old and not so wise man, here's something to ponder, All those screaming at streamyx, what do you do if you are TM and want to make sure all your users happy? monopoly is still the best option for tm to 'steal' our money and provide them "the best' service in the country without upgrading their existing infrastructure. nuff said? QUOTE(kokweng1 @ Aug 6 2010, 11:27 AM) for choice 1 , mean be4 over cap won't get throttle rite ? what if even got cap and we have to pay extra GB, but the connection still throttle? then both choice is good ! but now is that tm , since no cap let it say as. heavy dl user - throttle mid dl user - throttle low dl user - also throttle !" what good about it ?!! if TM implement this, surely they'll get more money from us |
