FOr my case, WMV was throttled
MP4 no throttle

still ok for me, coz wmv files are smaller to me, mp4 files i used to download are HD movies. hehe

i understand if they throttle p2p, but they should not ever try to throttle the direct download.. noob scrramyx

I personally support them to throttle all P2P usage including PPS. P2P users are those who will consume the ENTIRE bandwidth 100%, if not 99.99999% that is offered to them

It is TOTALLY UNACCEPTED to throttle DDL, anywhere, anytime, with any reasons. Throttle HTTP/DDL = better use dial up connection

For P2P such as pps, not only speed matters, the number of connection matters too

Speed limiter works to limit the speed, but in the same time, there are many connections pps using at the same time. PPS receives data from many internet users and at the same time, it sends data to many internet users as well. In the end, router/modem will be congested and this will affect the overall performance because some low end router/modem cant handle too many connection at the same time

*Of course, we can limit the number of connection for pps/ other p2p software, but if this was limited, then the pps/p2p download won't function well anymore.
