guys... my gcard busted, asus geforce 8800GT, now i thinking.... what to replace about same range 1, but there's no more 8800GT around, so... any geforce card that is same performance?
i am quite confuse actually because i see some 3 years newer cards, price cheaper, but performance is worst than my 8800gt. then i check comparison list, seem like need to be same price range 1 as when i bought 8800gt 1 only can compare.
mean i buy that time 8800gt rm600, then i need get back a rm600 card now to actually having the same performance. that sux. is that true? can someone shed of light? damn frustrated now.

There's no way that the same cost will buy you a weaker GPU. Most of the time it will offer you around 20-30% speed increase after 1 year with the same cost unless your MOBO could not support it.

go for gtx 460 with only RM600+. the benchmark by guru3d proving that gtx 460 is the best and well performed apart of gtx 470 and 480. but with a proper processor and ram if you know what I mean

sigh that is quite expensive, my bo is around c2d era, the pcie2 should able to support, but gtx460 is it dx11 ready? if so then maybe gcard then later on upgrade ram , then wait till next next year only get a new pc instead.

i got rusty for like 3 week of no 1v1. anyway... i will be MIA for atleast 2~4weeks, need saved up for gcard. Also, need to buy dress and suit for ROM and hotel room for parents to attend the ROM... I am really broke.
Any recommendation? i just want to replace the 8800gt, no need upgrade, but just hoping is not a downgrade. Current monitor is DVI in, as i used with my 8800gt. so any suggestion? Thanks.

Get ATI ASUS EAH5750 1GB GDDR5 if you're on budget.. only cost me RM399 from CZone.. Its quite a decent improvement over your 8800 GT and much lower power consumption as well.. refer here: http://www.hwcompare.com/graphics/compare....rce-8800-GT-1GBThis post has been edited by fizyboy: Aug 29 2010, 11:45 AM

i had bad experience with radeon before. so i best avoid it, so if nvidia, maybe can get gts240 is it? i compare chart nf Gigaflops and bit rate, seem like that is the 1 that replace 8800gt. Added on August 29, 2010, 12:30 pmSeem like the 1 close to 8800gt is GTS250 1gb, or the radeon 4850, or 4770. Anyone got the GTS250 1gb? seem expensive, is around rm450~rm550 range. If im not wrong, 9800 and GT250 have similar performance with 8800. I think you should just get a 5750. It's price is reasonable for the performance.
