do u guys feel lag when playing uS server?

majority of IP and gateway of screamyx save for a few is having major delays to NA servers (not just starcraft, be it downloads or anything) and timeouts recently

just try to get a different IP range with different gateways and try again. you may also do speedtest to NA servers to check the latencies and what not prior to gaming in sc2 NA servers

do you know why it happen?

you could send an email or call up blizzard directly. get an idd calling card if you are required to call.

since starter edition just came out, and its probably another digital copy with everything just not unlocked, can i upgrade it with a CD? instead of upgrading through battle.net?

that is possible, additionally you can also just copy paste the sc2 folder from your friends who already have their sc2 patched/updated

the main thing you need is the cdkey that you can attach to your bnet account, not so much the digital download, or cd copy

the game itself is always "full version". its just your ID that is tied with battle.net that determines how the game behaves, since you have to always connect online to play sc2, or at least login once with a full account to be able to play guest mode

so yes, it should "change" to the full version of the game once you are able to login his id. if you're unsure, just get him to login his id on your machine.

one thing to note though: ID trading is against the EULA, so if you get caught by blizz, dont go crying lol.

only the battle.net account is the limiting factor ? or should i say the CD-Key

battle.net account. as you dont exactly need a cdkey to install sc2 on any given machine, hell, you can just copy paste the entire folder and it'll work with patches updated (assuming the source you copy is a fully updated sc2)

if the copy is genuine then it is no problem

shouldn't need to change. if you want as a precaution, get your own game client ready, if doesnt work then you copy

Added on August 17, 2011, 5:56 pmyou have risk of being cheated on the account. essentially you're buying a sc2 bnet account, not so much the game as the game can be copied/downloaded anywhere, anytime. so if the seller cheats you by retrieving his account from blizzard, then you're screwed.

if you're scared of risk, then it is advised that you buy your own new account (or copy of sc2)

my sc2 got 2xx bonus pool on 3v3. Wt is that?

bonus pool essentially doubles your rating gains within your division.

eg: you got 200 pool

you win per match = 10 points
with bonus pool, your net gain is 20 points, and you deduct 10 points from the bonus pool which leaves you with 190 points. this keeps going until your bonus pool runs out and you no longer have double gains.

also unlike winning, losing doesnt have any negative penalty to your bonus pool, it is a direct double bonus after all.

how to play as guest offline? i click and it says to connect to battle.net and authorize game client. How?
