# Installing .SIS files on your phone #
########################

[ Get a IrDA/Bluetooth Dongle/Data Cable/Card reader ]

First thing you MUST HAVE is a Nokia PC Suite. This software cd is included in your phone package. If you don't have, kindly google for it. (www.nokia.com)

IrDA
- Connect your phone via IrDA.
- Open Nokia PC Suite.
- If the PC Suite is unable to detect the phone, please do check the IrDA settings. (Right click irda port --> properties --> hardware --> properties --> advanced --> speed enable --> 56700 --> OK)

You'll be able to install .SIS files now. Install it and follow the instructions.

Bluetooth
- Connect Bluetooth from your phone. ( Turn it ON )
- Show all Bluetooth devices
- If your PC isn't shown, select New Paired Device and leave the handset to search for the PC connection
- You'll be prompted with a password.
- When it's paired, use Connectivity Suite to transfer files.

Card Reader
- Just transfer the files straight to your Removable drive.
- Install accordingly from your phone.

# Patching with .APP #
###############

Before you apply patch to the applications, you might need either FExplorer/SeleQ installed to do so. If there's 2 files ( xxx.SIS and xxx.APP ) in the zipped folder, install the xxx.SIS file first. Then send the .APP to your phone.

- Beam the xxx.APP file to your phone ( right click --> send to --> wireless device )
- Next, open FExplorer/SeleQ.
- Go to, C:/System/Mail/.....
- Slowly search for the xxx.APP file in the /Mail folder.
- When you found the file, cut it and paste it at the specified location ( E:/System/Apps/xxx)
- Overwrite it and you're done.

P/s: It's always better to install applications in your MMC and not phone memory!

There's another way of patching the .app file.
- First, install the xxx.SIS file to your phone.
- Then send the xxx.APP file to your phone through PC Suite ( preferbly to E:/Others (MMC) )
- After finish sending the xxx.APP file, use FExplorer/SeleQ to search for your xxx.APP file, which is in MMC drive E:/Others.
- Cut the xxx.APP then go to C:/Systems/App/xxx and paste it there.

For example, you're installing CameraFX, therefore, the folder will have CameraFX.sis and CameraFX.app. Install the CameraFX.sis file first. Then send the CameraFX.app to your phone through PC Suite. Use FExplorer/SeleQ to cut the CameraFX.app file from E:/Others to C:/System/Apps/CameraFX and paste it there. Overwrite the file.

Patching is easy! All you have to do is just key in your phone IMEI code in and voila, the registration number is generated for you.
- Press *#06# to get your IMEI code.
- Just key in the registration number and you're done.

# Installing N-Gage games #
##################

1. First thing you need is a Blizzard Installer. You may get it

- Install the blzinstaller.sis to your MMC root directory. (E:/)
- Then, transfer the xxx.BLZ games to your MMC root directory. (E:/)
- Open Blizzard Installer, and you'll be able to view those xxx.BLZ games.
- Install it.

2. If the file you downloaded is not in .BLZ format, then here's another way on installing.

- Copy the entire SYSTEM folder to your MMC.
- Then use FExplorer/SeleQ, copy the entire SYSTEM folder and paste it at E:/System/Apps/xxx
- Restart your phone.
- You'll be able to play by just clicking the icon in your Menu.

3. Some zipped files has few extracted folders. You might need to install the latest WinRAR version in order to extract accordingly.

For example, let's take Bomberman .
There'll be 3 files in the folder. ( ENHSBM1, ENHSBM2, engage )
- Extract ENHSBM1 and ENHSBM2.
- Then now you'll have 2 extra files which is ENHSBM and ENHSBM.
- You may then delete ENHSBM1 and ENHSBM2.
- Extract both files (ENHSBM.rar) together.
- A "system" folder will appear. You're done with extracting. Just follow the step 1 above to continue.

#####################
# Installing .JAR to your phone #
#####################

- Extract the folder which you've downloaded online.
- If there's .JAR file, just straight install it.

But if there's other folders like META INF...
- Just rename the xxx.RAR --> xxx.JAR
- Send it to your phone.
- Install.

I think the ah_keh's guide - http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=74944 is pretty clear. But I would like to add something about downloading from mIRC, since I had already knew how to download...

If you really follow the guide, I suppose you have no problems in setting up a DCC chat with the bots. Now, type "dir" after the line [\]:

<bots> [\]
<yourname> dir

then you will get the whole directory listing:

<bots> [\*.*]
<bots> 6600FILES(APPS AND GAMES)
<bots> 6600MOVIES
<bots> bird1.wav      29.2 kb
bla bla bla...

the lines without any file extension are folders (normally in CAPS), those with file extension and file size are files that you can download. If you want bird1.wav, just type "get bird1.wav":

<yourname>get bird1.wav
<bots> Sending bird1.wav «29.2 kb» (in light blue colour) -> auto generated line, you might not get it sometimes... so please switch server. If the DCC send is on, another "chatbox" will appear and the download is running! FYI, the files are stored in mIRC/download/ folder.

Otherwise, if you would like to further go into 6600MOVIES folder, just type " cd 6600MOVIES":

<yourname> cd 6600MOVIES
<bots> [\6600MOVIES]
<yourname> dir
<bots> [\6600MOVIES\*.*]
<bots> lowyat.rm    2.3MB
<bots> highyat.rm  1.3MB
<bots> yatyat.rm    0.2MB

OK, clear? I was stuck in viewing the directory listing last time. But, managed to figure it out... just play around with "dir" and "cd" and "cd.." (go up one directory)then you shall find your way. Another problem I faced was, some of the servers will not respond after you type "get xxx", so just change looo... all and all, if anything unwanted happen, just switch bots

HAPPY mIRC-ing
