Hi stls,

Currently we are still testing the setting for the Maxis IPTV. If you have bought the router and you have Maxis IPTV, you can try manually add the vlan at the IPTV under LAN section.

Thank you

I'm a user of RTN-66U running on 3.0.0.4.372_1393 firmware, using Maxis IPTV.

The router cannot connect to internet when I select the Manual profile, and manually input the IPTV VLAN number.

The Maxis-Fiber-Special profile which have LAN3 configured as VOIP also cannot connect to internet too.

Only Maxis-Fiber profile which have LAN3 configured as VOIP CAN connect to internet.

Is the IPTV fix coming soon?

Thanks for all the help. I've successfully configured my RTN-66U to use Maxis Fiber and Astro IPTV. My place is running on TM fiber, so the settings below worked for me.

Internet : 621
LAN3 : 822
LAN4 (IPTV) : 823

Hi wad3lee,

May I know which Maxis Astro Package that you have applied?

And try disable the Enable multicast routing under the IPTV also. As default is Disabled.

Thank you

My IPTV is also stucked at 180 this evening after I got home. Thought it's a ASUS thing, so I swapped back to the Technicolor router but the issue remains.

Called up Astro and they mentioned I'm not the first this evening to report this. Seems to me like a network issue? Anyone else facing the same thing?

Internet is working fine on both Asus and Technicolor.

I noticed that the problem happened when my STB IP address is 10.x.x.x which is given by some DHCP servers on Astro end. The IP address can be checked at Settings/IP Diagnostic in the STB.

Astro IPTV works when the STB IP address is part of my LAN pool which is 192.168.1.x.

Ya, IPTV working, only tv guide not display. If connect back to TG784 , tv guide can display.
I do some test, found some different between TG784 and RT-N66u on TV box IP diagnostics.
1. TG784 get 192.168.x.x ip, N66U get 10.x.x.x ip
2. N66U cannot get "Tuned service multicast address", TG784 can. maybe this address cause tv guide problem.
hope this information can help you.
ps. my modem is Huawei 8240

Similar observation from me. After I left the N66U overnight, the next morning the STB IP changed to 10.x.x.x and it gets very laggy and does not work anymore.

Hi gkong3,

If for Maxis Fiber, currently we unable to fully support the IPTV yet. And as for the HUB or switch, yes you can use it for other device such as NAS and PC.

Thank you

Hi ASUSmy,

When will the RTN-66 FULLY support Maxis IPTV?

I've raised this concern since end July (Post #1491) and after 4+ months, it's still not supported?

Does the firmware 3.0.0.4.376_1071 fixes the Maxis IPTV issue already?
