Hi,

Can anyone point me to a setup guide for setting up Time Fibre 300MB with Asus NT12 router please?

Thank you!

Your mistake is using a Fast Ethernet router (ASUS RT-N12) which is constrained by 100Mbps LAN ports and 300Mbps wireless-N for Time Fibre 300Mbps.

Please consider upgrading the RT-N12 to a gigabit dual-band AC router to optimize your Time Fibre 300Mbps connection.

Sorry my mistake. I'm actually using the RTN12-HP.
I tried this way but after setup, my network icon has an exclamation mark on it.

The RT-N12HP is still a fast Ethernet router constrained by 100Mbps LAN ports. biggrin.gif

Yea sorry i read your post wrongly lol. So if i were to still want to just set it up in the meantime while i shop for a new router soon, will i be able to do that? Because the D-LINK router that they provided me has unstable wifi connections and keep losing connection from time to time

Of course you can continue to use your existing Fast Ethernet router in the meantime, while you look for an upgrade.

Just don't expect 300Mbps speeds. laugh.gif

I would suggest the mid-range ASUS RT-AC55UHP which will cost you around RM570.

What about the RTN56-U. Will this router do?
*
This is an older model gigabit router with no wireless-AC. Only Wireless-N, limited to max 300Mbps.

It is also cheaper at around RM400.

If you are sure you can live with your wireless clients operating well below 300Mbps, then go ahead. smile.gif

Okay thank you guys. I will just get the new router and try and set it up again smile.gif

In the meantime, one more tip for you.

If you are setting up your Time Fibre 300Mbps connection with the RT-N12HP, do a factory reset first BEFORE running the quick setup procedure for Time Fibre.

This will reset all VLANs previously defined for Unifi. Time Fibre doesn't require VLANS.
