Hi mikelanding, thank you for your feedback, may I ask have you updated the firmware to the latest already? Which is 3.0.0.4.246.

And does the Hand issue occur often?

Thank you.

Hi vickyrao, can I ask is the router has been updated to the latest firmware already based on the guide from "shadowblack"?

If still cannot, please follow the way on the youtube show below. Is rescue mode for ASUS router in case there is something wrong with the original firmware.

You can even refer to the instruction below from our website.

Hi vickyrao, do you mean Astro Beyond IPTV broadband which is using TIME? We got user using it, and so far not much problem happen as there is no special setting for it. Just PPPoE, User name and Password.

Thank you

Hi Guys, nee help. I just upgraded to the latest firmware for my RT-N66U and now my connection cannot work anymore. And my 5G network is not working as well. Settings are all correct.

One thing i noticed is that there is no more special requirement for ISP setting where i set LAN4 for Unifi-Home.

Not sure if this is related but i am no longer able to have internet connection. Anyone experiencing the same issue?

the settings should still be available when you set it to manual, you still can see the LAN port 3 & 4 VLAN tagging options. i had to do a full power cycle after upgrade to see all the new features though.
update - did a full factory reset and now everything is working as it should be. Do still take some precautions when upgrading the firmware though.

Thanks. Yeah i did a factory reset and then it works. Noticed there was a line in the download update page for the router where it mentioned best to perform a reset as there is alot of new features. smile.gif

Missed that part completely. Now everything works like a charm.

No, currently cannot fully support yet.

Thank you

Any plans or workaround? Is it possible to use the router which Astro provide and we connect the n66 to that router?

Dear All Sifu,

I;m planning to change unifi router to Asus N66U, i notice there is few people mention about N66U is not so stable however i saw the advertisement mention N66U is the best Wireless router 2014.

MY requirement is such as
-DDNS ( i notice Asus got FREE DDNS which is good for me, because for Free account DyDns require reconfigure every 30 days) so better got Asus FREE DDNS.
-VPN Feature
-Gigabit Port
-All in One (Modem + Router + Wireless) - (do i still require Unifi Router?)
-Guest Login
-Netflow (i notice the standard firmware like not able to support Netflow )
-SNMP (For monitoring )

Lastly, anyone flash to DD-WRT firmware ? not sure worth it or not
*
For me it has served me very well. Super stable. can run for months without the need of reboot. only reboot during configurations or update firmware. very well done and works awesome with my unifi. btw, n66 is only router. its not a modem. you still need to use your tm modem.

Great thanks for your comments btw any reason for you to choose N66U instead of others model ?

i m thinking whether do i advise N66U or others slight low end model
*
Well reason being, its capable of handling high loads and lower models, may have hiccups depending on your needs. But overall, its a good investment for n66u. i would not advice you to get AC models as its not really a standard yet for most devices so its a little useless to spend that much money on AC models unless majority of your devices has AC capabilities.

Guys, i notice that Asus there is RT-N66U and DSL-N66U

i m try to compare this 2 ,but still can't get munch info

but 1st question i dunno is should i use back unifi router , just buy a RT-N66U connect to old unifi router or change all in 1 DSL-N66U ?

what is the best practice ?
*
DSL model is for Streamyx. You cannot use non TM modem for Unifi. You can only change the router.
