Now my question is :
My current firmware is version 3.0.0.4_260 , New update is available which is

Hi ahpeace,

Thank you for your feedback, I will request our RD to to have a look at the firmware.

In the meantime, you can downgrade the firmware which don't have this problem.

Thank you

Hi 4lenAngel,

You can downgrade back if you face any problem on the firmware. But do remember to do a factory reset after the new firmware update.

Manually setup again for your Internet setting after the factory reset.

Thank you

Hi ahpeace,

It is just the same as upgrading the firmware, the different is you use older firmware.

Thank you

Recently upgraded to the RT-AC68U + Matching PCI-E card.

Couldn't be happier - my Homeplugs only give me around 10mb/s transfers over network, with this I can achieve much faster speeds. Latency isn't an issue either.

Hi noobfc,

Try update the firmware to the latest.

Latest version 3.0.0.4.374.5517.

http://www.asus.com/Networking/RTN16/HelpDesk_Download/

After that, try follow the youtube below to do the UNIFI setup.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7VUBSFy_es

As for the cable parts, all you need to do is move the LAN cable from the old router to the new router WAN port.

Thank you

Hi Asusmy,

i have this asus rt-12hp which comes with firmware 3.0.1.4.374.

My problem is im not able to connect to the internet. It will timeout everytime  i try to connect it. I have try flashing to a other firmware but still not able to connect.

Any advise or suggestion to rectify this?

u probably have overcome the problem by now... but may still be useful to have an answer for those who just bought and got stuck setting up...

u missed clicking a box at the bottom of the page when selecting ppoe - to select unifi and maxis fiber.

i realize this thread does/may not incl the lower end models rt n12hp and rt n14hp but never mind... i had that problem and found the solution in this video which is repeated in this thread too:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7VUBSFy_es

anyway, just like to say i m very happy with this basic asus rt n12hp router that i just bought for rm199. for simple home wifi use, the coverage is strong and stable. will never use the orig unifi router again! biggrin.gif

Hi ASUSmy,
Currently using Maxis 10mbps and its paired with Astro IPTV.
I do not have VoIP however, i told them to cancel it since I do not use it.

The router provided(Thomson) doesn't really have enough wifi range juice, being a ASUS fan, are there any routers currently available that I can purchase that'll work with my Internet + Astro IPTV?
