Hi all,

Can someone suggest me which Unifi router can support bridge mode? because I want to connect a firewall(fortigate) to the network and I want this firewall to control everything and the router is just a bridge. thanks..

anyway, the unifi package is 10mb biz..and there is no IPTV for this package to care about. just want to connect my firewall..

Must use back their Dlink or buy TPlink, for stable use Asus to set bridge to your fortinet.

The Dlink now don't have bridge mode anymore. And just now i check in tplink website and try their router simulation, there is no bridge mode.. also i have Asus RT-N13U. also no bridge mode..

Hi all,

Just went through the whole thread.

I currently have a Huawei HG850a BTU. I am interested in either the RT-N13U or the RT-N56U.

Take into account I will be getting this from C-Zone, as they have it under their TM Unifi Product, I am going to assume it comes with a special Unifi firmware.

My concerns are:
- Asus RT-N56U: Can it be used with the Huawei HG850a? I have seen reports of the RT-N13U working with the HG850a, but have not seen a confirm report of the RT-N56U and HG850a.
- Asus RT-N13U: What is the max simultaneous connection for this baby? I know the N56U is 300,000, but I am unable to find this information for the RT-N13U.

Thank you very much in advance everyone!

Edit:
I have found out the answer to my first issue. http://klseet.com/index.php?option=com_con...id=93&Itemid=87

Now just wondering on the 2nd issue, planning to use the RT-N13U to extend wireless range.

IIRC it took few minutes, you just have to wait a bit. Which method do you use? Webgui?

You can increase the transmit power using DD-WRT of course it would be better :-)

Recently purchase Asus RT-N16 at C-Zone for RM347 with credit card. Cash is RM340.

Purchase it for 2 reasons. To get a stronger wireless signal around my house. And second, to utilise the FTP feature of the router using a USB drive.

However, after a few days of using, I am facing some problem with this router. This is normal firmware from Asus and have yet to be upgraded to DD-WRT or TomatoUSB.

First problem, some of my wireless devices frequently disconnect from the Asus RT-N16. Eg. wireless IP camera

Second, I am unable to use the FTP feature from outside. Only within the local area network. I am using Yes Wimax with a Zoom modem cum router. The Zoom router has WIFI disabled. The LAN cable is connected to the Asus WAN port. When I access Asus web gui, it states the WAN IP address as 192.168.1.100 instead of picking up the WAN IP address from Zoom such as 183.78.56.x. Thus DDNS service will automatically set the IP as 192.168.1.100

Anyone has similar problem

finally set up the asus RT-N13U to replace the stupid dlink unifi router. However, didn't realize that the LAN ports of the N13U are 10/100 only and not gigabit.. Not that is a big deal but just wished i had read the thing properly.

Running 2 8port gigabit switches between the back-end (study room) and front-end (tv rack) and 4 other cat6 connections to other rooms..

Added on September 13, 2011, 11:47 pmOn a side note, i'm still having problem with the IPTV even with the N13U router as the dlink unit.. The STB will boot up, go to channel 098, display the channel for a few seconds and then just freeze up... Unifi tech are also dumbfounded.. They've changed the BTU, router and STB twice and the problem is still there..

My N13U hangs frequently and cause the IPTV not usable. Is there anyway to fix it?
