Not worth it for light user either.

I'm sure there is s "sweet-spot" somewhere - not too little GB and not too much GB.
Anyone care to do the maths?

It's very worthwhile for a casual user like my dad, considering that we'll be able to cancel the Streamyx subscriptions at his office and at home, replacing it with one of these.

Will probably have a look at it in a few months when the dust settles.

exactly, no matter what you surf or download also, goes through their "international link".

The lack of local peering would explain why they are performing so poorly with speedtest.net's Malaysian test servers.

Speedtest .... meaningless !!!!!
Definately good speeds now 'cause minimum subscribers.
Wait at least next 6 months.

Something that they did right IMO is not forcing their subscribers into a long contract eg 24 months.

So if you're unhappy with the service because it starts slowing down after a few months, you're free to walk away without penalty.

been using yes for about 2 weeks across klang valley and penang. it's good so far. there are some places where signal is weak, but at least you know that it's weak. haven't faced the same dropouts that I have seen with celcom and maxis (despite having a strong signal).

Blinking red means no signal. Maybe the site near your place got problem . Did u try it at a different location/?

Yes, tried it along the LDP, Bangsar, and home... normally I have signal at these areas. The admin page shows "SCANNING" and a list of towers nearby, but it doesn't connect to any of them.

Gonna swing by the Yes store at KL sentral tomorrow and hope they can do something for me.
