Good news for peeps who want an alternative to Pee1 or the other WWAN providers lol. Hope it'll be great, need to see more competition.

Just hope it won't be oversubscribed too fast else it'll end up just LIKE the others; a good initial 4-5 months, and after that... more hair pulling from people who revert back to STIMIX....

"We will become the world's most advanced nation for communications services
by then," says Yeoh on Monday, Oct 11.

AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA...

(Drops dead from laughing too much)

Hey, Mr Yeoh... All of the current 4G implementations in this sad country has gone to CRAP... what makes you think your company can do better?

That's right... butter us up with your words..... Another FAIL enterprise after everyone potong en masse and joins the fail network...

Hahaha.. and here peeps thought YTL was gonna bend over backwards for the heavy users? They just told all of you to shove it up where the sun don't shine... Light browsers and e-mail checkers? Sure, come aboard!

It'll be a cold, cold day in hell before Wireless supersedes Fixed line Internet as the superior offering.... in all aspects (Line caps, speed, stability, pings)

TMNUT execs are laffing their rear ends off at YES and YTL.... They still stand for best RM per GB.... They know their customer base is safe.. no one can compete on their terms lol..

So much for all that YTL billions.. all comes to naught lol....

I stand with them laughing at YES for their lameness.... and poor launch, poor terms, poor volume.... lol..... enjoying my 1 TB per month...

QUOTE(nextimelah @ Nov 20 2010, 10:47 AM)
Here is the simple truth, IMHO:

Who are YTL's target market?
1. People who are on the go and need mobile internet
2. People who need average internet consumption, to surf net, email, chat, fb, twitter, blog
3. People who wants an all in one billing package for their voice, phone internet and mobile internet all in one

Who are NOT YTL's target market?
1. People who love torrenting or does massive downloading everyday

If you download a movie everyday, please stay away from Yes. Stick to Streamyx.

If you just want to watch Youtube and play some games, chat, read emails, surf the net and want the flexibility of doing it everywhere you go, then you can choose Yes.

Simple reason why YTL chose this path. Mobile internet infrastructure is not like Unifi which has are connected by fiber. If they chose the "Unlimited" path, then they will soon become P1 and WILL suffer congestion because everyone will start torrenting, killing service to the average user.

Remember, YTL never said they are faster or better than DSL. They always say they are faster and better than 3G. smile.gif

Truer words have never been spoken.

But that bit about the youtube though.... YT CAN rack up usage pretty fast.. especially in HD.. so YES sorta discourages youtube too....

Love to check mail, and browse sites? Step right up, and join us (YES) like its the 1990s all over again! XD

Screw the HD video revolution! /sarcasm

4G is NOT the FUTURE! Show me one provider that can beat fiber and i'll show you my rear end... XD

LOL Ihsan... never thought you and ipohbee would be on the same side on anything to do with the telecommunications companies...

Anyway, this venture seems like its doomed from the beginning...

Absolutely agree with ipohbee in this case...

If you're a light user [The target in YES's case] (e.g. IM, e-mail, FB) 2 Mbps is ENOUGH..... no significant lags or anything like that will be noticed if the line quality is good (No jitter, Low latency etc)

I don't get why YES offers such a fast network for a disproportionate light use.... 10 Mbps... for web surfing? GIMME A BREAK!

Video pirates? LoL.. They won't be definitely joining YES as PAYU is too expensive for such purposes....

Enjoy your 'great' speeds at exorbitant prices while I get my TV and movie fix at a flat rate every month =D

Even with the capping and the throttling Screamyx and Unifi still offer superior value per GB compared to YES.. What's the use of the all that speed if not for the GBs lol...
