Dear Yes customers,
We started Yes with the determination to bring positive change to the people of Malaysia.
Right out of the bat, the response has been fantastic. Many have said βyesβ and they are giving us positive reviews, validating our claim to deliver 3 β 5 times the speed of 3G.
The response to our www.yes.my portal has been tremendous. However, we are acutely aware that some customers are having issues accessing www.yes.my. This is due to a series of hostile attacks from third parties. On top of legitimate customer traffic, this has seriously degraded the performance of our portal.
I am pleased to report, however, that our Yes 4G network remains unaffected by these attacks.
While we work to drive positive change for Malaysia, sadly, it seems this vision is not entirely shared by some elements.
Our team, along with our operations partner, Cisco, is putting in a measured response to restore the service level of our portal as quickly as possible. We expect this situation to improve in the next 2 β 3 hours.
At this time, customers are encouraged to finalize their Yes registration and purchase the Yes service at our Stores at Lot 10 Shopping Centre and KL Sentral in addition to our IT Partner centres.
We trust you will join us as agents of positive change, against these odds. As we said yesterday at our launch, as a new company we will continue to learn and grow. And our www.yes.my portal will emerge stronger and better.
We will work to earn your trust. Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
Wing K. Lee
CEO, YTL Communications
Bad start or not , its another story. It depends on how you handle it. Their speed can be superb , mind blowing now. Yes we have seen them. Best test is after 6 months
Its funny , cause a few people have said that it was not DDOS. Anyway HiTB guys managed to fix it ,
FYI , they were using IIS (ugh who uses IIS these days) , which was way insecure running on windows. I guess they moved to apache afterwards !
